Works great but there's better out there

This product is good for damaged sculp as you can apply it by hand rather than rubbing it in. The brush provided does leave a heavier application than I intended so being more careful. I have thinner hair now so probably the problem. It doesn't damage my hair or sculp and leaves it shiny and rich. Highly recommend the light brown.

I recently decided to try an at-home highlighting kit to add some brightness to my dark blonde hair. This was my first time dyeing my hair, so I was a bit nervous and cautious. I kept the product on for only 15 minutes to avoid overprocessing, and it gave me some lovely, light highlights that added a natural-looking touch to my hair. The results were pretty close to what I hoped for—soft, golden tones that blended well with my natural shade.However, since I was new to the process, I didn’t realize how crucial the application technique would be. I didn’t distribute the product as evenly as I should have, and in some areas, I ended up with a few noticeable blotches of lighter color. Thankfully, these are only visible when I wear my hair up, which isn’t something I do often, so it’s not a huge issue.Looking back, I think the instructions were clear, but as a first-timer, I underestimated how much attention to detail is needed. If you’re new to dyeing your hair, I strongly recommend taking your time and following the steps carefully. Make sure you section your hair properly and apply the product evenly to avoid any uneven spots. Maybe even practice the technique or watch a tutorial beforehand if you're unsure.Overall, I’m happy with how it turned out—it gave my hair a fresh, sun-kissed look without being overdone. The uneven areas are more a reflection of my inexperience than any fault with the product itself. I’d definitely use it again, but next time, I’ll be much more careful with my application to achieve an even better result!

Applicator was useless, “toning mask” was burnt sienna aka dark orange. It doesn’t include a bowl or brush only the toothbrush style applicator. I ended up putting in foils and using my hands to coat it which actually worked, so imagine my surprise when I got done and my brand new highlights that looked blonde going into the shower were now bright orange, like I put Sun in on for too long. Not sure why anyone would sell a dark orange toner as orange is typically the opposite of what people are hoping to achieve. I had to go buy a violet mask to counter all the orange but I’m still left with streaks of orange. Look for a better product.

I have been using this 7LA Lightest Auburn for years. Hope L'Oreal keeps making it forever!

Its not a omg I need a hair stylist now bad but its not great either. The finger brush needs improvement. A bit stiff and caused some of my hair to be pulled out even after brushing well first. Blotchy areas a couple that are a little more clown orange...not really blonde. My hair was a dark blonde and when the sun hit it a touch of red creeped in. This is now more light sandy brown with a little orange. Not a good thing at all. I will not buy it again and really wish they would bring in the two step of golden blonde again. As i age I get darker not grey or white and the golden blonde was the closest to my natural colour.

This is a great easy to use an inexpensive product for at home use. It’s great for those who don’t want the expensive at a salon.! The result is very good and if you take your time, you’ll have a good experience and a good outcome! Highlights grow out so quickly this is a great alternative! And definitely less expensive!

I love this product! I had stunning deep auburn hair before I went gray so many years ago (I'm 66 but people are shocked to learn that because I've cared for my skin all of my life). A color plus highlight kit I used way back when that was close to my true color went extinct. I've created a similar look with other products but I needed 3 separate items to achieve that (base deep brown, a medium red (as highlights) that didn't show up on it's own and then a "frost" on top of the red to bring it out. Too many products, too much money and way too much time. This gave me exactly what I wanted - my result is not as "caramely" as the box so it's perfect. It's so much like the auburn I've wanted. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
