Cuisinart HM-70 Power Advantage 7-Speed Hand Mixer, Silver,White

I bought this hand mixer for my wife. She made fun of me for it when it first arrived -- I tend to buy a lot of kitchen toys, which I also enjoy using. However, she has complained bitterly in the past about food splattering out of the bowl while tring to mix or mash with a wand mixer. And it is usually not enough to bother mixing in our big countertop mixer. But after using our new Cuisinart HM-70 hand mixer last night to make mashed potatoes she had nothing but praise. There is really nothing to dislike about it. It is stylish-looking, has a cord that can be switched from one side to the other depending upon what works best for you, has 7 speeds with a slow initial start-up so food stays in the bowl when you first get started, and a nifty digital readout to tell you which speed you are using. It comes with beaters that have a nice long stem on them, a wisk, and even a small plastic spatula. If you are in the market for a hand mixer you cannot go wrong with this Cuisinart model. My wife and I are very pleased with it, and it was well worth the money spent. Amazon had a great price on it, and shipping was free. Again, what's not to like?

I have to comment on Amazon. First off, their shipping is so fast! I used the free super saver shipping and it arrived 2 days after shipping out! Second, I bought this mixer in Used-Very Good condition. It was brand new. I got it for a discounted price (and free shipping) and the only reason it was in Used condition was because the box looked a little beat up. Inside the box, however, the mixer looked like it had never been touched. All the pieces came with it, too. Great service! Now to the mixer. I love the pink color-it's very bright! The whisk attachment is very handy for whipping cream and the regular beaters seem very high quality. I like the speeds a lot. My old hand mixer had no slow starting speed (and very little power). This one has 3! Plus it has 4 other high speeds. It seems very powerful. I love it!

Bought the March '12. Absolutely great mixer. I own the chrome model. Easy to use , easy to clean, dependable. Over the years i have owned several different brands. This is bu far the best. I have absolutely no regrets. Looking at available models today I would probably buy the 9 speed with bottpm cover to store attachments.

This mixer is fitted with the latest technology in motor speed control. If you set it on to it will only reach the maximum speed of two or if it needs to increase the power it will do that as well. Really like this mixer for that feature cord swivels And very reliable.

I took a risk purchasing this as I need a portable mixer, and reviews on amazon are very mixed about all of these handheld mixers. I settled on this one because it has a slow start feature and a high wattage power capability. And guess what? It has not disappointed me at all and I'm so glad I took a chance on it! Maybe some of the negative reviews were faulty models, or maybe those customers don't know how to use one of these properly? I don't know, but I couldn't be happier with mine - it starts up slowly, and hasn't made a plattery mess once so far, and I've mixed liquidy waffle and pancake batters almost every day with it since I got it. It really gets my batters homogenized very quickly! My eggs get beaten so nice and fluffy with it, that it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy when I think of how this little gadget has saved my wrists (I have tendonitis in my wrists). I doubt this review will help anyone since there are so many reviews already, but I guess my advice would be that you just try this one or one of the others out if you have prime shipping and free returns, and as soon as you get it in the mail, just attach the beaters real quick, plug the mixer in, and turn it on (lowest setting first, then run it through higher settings just to be sure). If you just try it out right away without getting it dirty, and make sure that it works, then you will make sure that you don't get one of the lemons that those negative reviews are complaining about. I did that, and once I was sure that it worked, I cleaned and soaped off all of the attachments to get manufacturing residues or germs off, and then I was ready to start mixing for real with it, and it has helped me make some very tasty treats in way less time and less wrist pain!
