First off, I used this in an attempt to quiet down the cackling rumble that is a 7.3 powerstroke diesel. I removed my dash and put down a solid layer of butyl rubber sound deadener then started laying down the Soundsulate MLV, this is no easy task as MLV is heavy and doesn’t contort very well on something like a firewall. What worked for me was starting from the top and working my way down then using preexisting screws and bolts from the firewall and hvac assembly to hold it in place. Ford used a molded sound barrier from the factory that I believe was polyethylene foam backed with maybe a 1/16” of MLV which I ended up removing. Anything I had left over from the dash I used on the floor pan. Though it isn’t silent in the cab the difference before and after is noticeable and impressive and definitely worth the trouble of removing the dash.

This product is great, came packaged nicely no damage to product. A little tuff to work with but if you need that 3rd layer great stuff and not a bad price

Smelly, dirty, and doesdn't actually reduce the noise levels whatsoever.

Product reduced noise level by 8 decibels(for my project). Product very heavy 2 person install will make it easy. Product easy to work with otherwise. If hanging as a curtain you must use grommets. If product is to be visible take care handling it marks up easily.

This does not have a sticky back, but it is every bit 1LB MLV. Its heavy, arrived in good condition. Company was excellent due to a shipping error on my part during return.
