Layer Cake, Jelly Roll & Charm Quilts

I love, the whole book it has so much in it it's going to be one of my go to books

The blocks were ok but poor fabric choices as many of the designs were lost in the translation. Illustrating how jelly rolls combine from a line which bleed into each other & jelly rolls are not always a good choice for some quilts.

Lots of fun patterns. Well written with useful tips and easy to understand instructions. Great addition to your sewing library. Highly recommend!

Nothing new or exciting but if you need a quick quilt in a hurry it’s a good source book. Also if you’re just looking to use up precuts, like jelly rolls, again good ideas, just nothing that’s a stand out

Great book for quilting projects!

I love the convenience of jelly roll pre-cuts. This book gave me lots of ideas for using them. Clear easy to follow instructions with lots of photos. Good book.

I love all kinds of craft work, but am totally lacking in original thought, so bought this book seeking inspiration. Well, I am spoilt for choice as there are plenty of ideas for making quilts and each one is illustrated in two different colour schemes so you can get an idea of what the finished article will look like. I have almost finished my first project as it is very compulsive and I have to snatch odd moments to do a bit more. I think my friends must be getting a bit tired of my constant display of the work in progress, but I am so thrilled with it and am now trying to decide which quilt to make next.The book is clearly written with excellent illustrations of each stage in making so suitable for all abilities, and a real inspiration.

Good item for the price

I bought this book as I was looking for some inspiration for a layer cake pack of quilting material I have. There were few patterns for layer cakes and those there were weren't very inspiring so the book has gone to the charity shop for someone who can make use of it. In fact none of the patterns within were very nice.

I have Jelly Roll Quilts and am currently making a quilt from it but couldn't wait to finish that one before getting more inspiration for my next one. Ordered this book after seeing it in her shop, (I am lucky to live near) and am so please with it. The designs are great and my only advice is to not be limited by the fabric she has chosen. The quilt I am making is blue and white in the first book but I am using Kaffe Fassett fabric and it looks fantastic. The books are great to inspire you and you will be spoilt for choice on which to pick first. Definitely one for the collection.

This book contains very clear guidance on how to make a large variety of quilts from pre cut fabrics. The designs are all attractive, and the hardest part is choosing one to start with. It really helps to be able to see the designs made up in different colour ways, and there is also the opportunity to make some of the quilts in different sizes.The fabric guidelines are crystal clear, as are the piecing and sewing instructions, with large illustrations to help.Tis is the second book I have purchased by the author, and I cannot recommend her highly enough to everyone, from beginner to long term quilting fanatics like myself. This book will give you the confidence and skills to produce a quilt that you will treasure.
