I'm starting to do detailed work and my old eyes just can't cut it. I've tried many head-band style magnifier glasses but they just hurt. This one, although bulky, has a good articulating arm. The glass is also very clear and the LED light works very well. I can finally do closeup work with ease. The only con is the wire which is a USB-A connector. I wish it was more robust and a real plug.

This is not a bad price point for this lamp. However, be aware that if using the round base (instead of the clamp) that it needs some additional weight. If the adjustable arms are near to, or fully (horizontally) extended, it will tip. It's a bit of a head scratcher how such a basic feature wasn't addressed in the basic R & D for the lamp. Also, the wall adapter plug started to fail after only a few months (4) after purchasing (power fluctuations to lamp). The solution was to purchase a pair of identical adapters on Amazon for about $9, but hardly a plus for the QC of this product.

Heavy and good task light.

Use this to paint miniatures. Has really helped out a lot. The light is bright enough, Can see all the little details much easier.

This is perfect. I make jewelry and other small crafts. I can’t believe how great this is. The colors and magnification are amazing. I can now see very clearly to get all my tiny work done and the size if perfect.

Took a while to find the focal point. It only seems to focus dead center.

I bought the lamp to help with my hobbies as well as for occasional reading help. It serves that well. I am comparing to very similar lamp I had for few years that broke (the switch started malfunctioning).This one has heavier base (but I still put a 10 pound weight on it as I often extend arm to maximum). The button are on top vs on cord - its great improvement for me, as I always struggled finding the on/off buttons before.
