Poor quality paper detracts from the brilliant book :o(
While this IS a great little book, I was really quite disappointed by the rough sugar type paper of the pages. You can't use felt-tipped pens or markers, as the colours do leach through to the next page, of course rendering those pages useless. For me, the use of colour during these types of activities is very important, which is why the rubbish paper really does detract from the loveliness of this little book. So, grab yourself a pack of funky coloured BIRO pens and get cracking! The activities are great, and do provide some 'food-for-thought' which is of course what Mindfulness is largely all about. In my opinion, these activities will help you to reflect and hopefully behave in a more meaningful way (to you), which is what it is intended to do; so yeah, it's really great and maybe more useful than a blank little diary. It is written by someone who is well qualified to get you thinking more deeply about your thoughts and feelings, and that does come across in the activities and suggestions within the book. Delivery was super speedy, so the measly 3 stars are given due to the poor quality of the sugar style paper of the pages, and not at all due to the actual content, which is brilliant. The poor quality paper does negatively affect the quality of what is a great little book. Consequently, I don't really think that it is gift quality, sadly :o(

I'm happier already (and I only bought it yesterday)
This is an amazing book. It starts by saying that it isn't like other self-help books and it isn't because it actually does help. Oh it does. I only got it yesterday and I do feel a bit better today simply because I know now that I'm not the only person who feels like this. And the exercises are brilliant. Really cleverly designed. So thank you, thank you, thank you Lee Crutchley. You've given me the little glimmer of hope that I thought had almost entirely gone out. Things will get better. If, when you wrote this book, your aim as to make a difference to just one person then good news because you've done it. But it won't just be one person. I don't see how this book could fail to make a difference to anyone who was striving to find a little bit more happiness or a little bit less sadness in their life. Buy it. Today. Don't hesitate even a second. The sooner you buy it, the sooner you'll have it and the sooner you'll start to feel more happy/less sad.

Some parts are about changing your outlook so you can fill those pages out even on a good day and just retain the information for when you're ...
Not at all what I was expecting. Some parts of the book are intended to be filled out when you're feeling down but who's actually going to do that? If you actually want to cry how likely are you to crack open your book and tick a box to say that you did? Some parts are about changing your outlook so you can fill those pages out even on a good day and just retain the information for when you're feel down. I think it's a good book for very young people, if only for the pages that boast the different way of thinking because that might not have occurred to some people and could be a serious eye opener for them. For older, and perhaps more cynical, people this book is nothing new.

brilliant!
Love this! Bought it as a present for my partner as he is really struggling at the moment. Just reading through it, I knew instantly that it was a brilliant decision. I want one for myself, lol! It's absolutely faultless and I definitely recommend it to anyone out there who is struggling to find the little things that make you happy. This book also gives you a chance to get your thoughts and feelings out, whether good or bad. It gives you a chance to express everything in a fun and productive way. Thank you, Lee Crutchley! You're a star :)

Brilliant, just what I needed
I am half way through this book it's brilliant it has helped me a lot already. This book doesn't hold a secret on how to be happy but it will make you realise certain things like things are not that bad and could always be worse which will make you a more positive person with a healthy outlook on everyday life. The key is to find out why you are sad then work out a way of making it better or overcoming the issue.I highly recommend this book.

Brilliant self help book.
Love this book, had it for Christmas and it's really good and actually enjoyable to complete. It was very interesting seeing all the different types of thinking. It has helped me no end and if like me, you have had depression/anxiety for a number of years, doing little things like what's in this book can really help take a weight off your shoulders or help you think a bit differently, or simply just make you think of the good things in life that can so easily be overlooked.
