I like things to be simple and straightforward, so didn't mind paying more for an OEM battery with all the connectors ready in position. As others mentioned, didn't need to turn unit off at all (my UPS powers two servers I was loathe to shut down). Simply remove the front panel, pull out the stoppers to release the inner cage panel, slide out the battery and slide in the new one job done. Takes 2 mins. The unit beeps and then starts charging the new battery. My servers never missed a beat in the whole operation.

My APC replacement arrived within 2 days of ordering it which was fast, so thank you Amazon! And yes i was a little anxious that it would be 'disappointingly' returned the next day if it was a 'clone fake copy' as some of the older reviews are saying below ~ but it is a 100% genuine APC battery cartridge no 48 for my APC Smart UPS 750, it is exactly as advertised genuine APC not a copy very pleased and would like to help dispel the 'its a fake clone copy' that the older reviewers post here, and maybe it was back then? but now in October 2015 it was a genuine APC replacement battery that arrived at my house yesterday, it was easy to replace old for new cartridge battery ~ take front cover off, remove the steel front plate easy to plastic clip plugs, slide out old battery (is heavy) slide in new battery push firmly a faint click as it contacts with terminal block at rear, replace steel front cover ~ affix front APC cover clicks into place ,, turn it on wait for the running checks to complete done! then let it charge for 6 hours and its ready to go

Rbc48 plug and play for the smt750ic a completely tool free install, the battery took about 8 hours to fully charge, don't forget to set the install date in smartconnect.apc.com or the lcd menu on the ups or the replacement date will be wrong, for me was me showing only 1 year, but when I set the date correctly it showed 5 years.

Battery is not APC original badged as per the image and thus misleading. The one I received was freshly made and delivered quickly. Had to re-program UPS manually to resolve the battery status problem. Hope it helps others, do at your own risk: APC Smart UPS 1400/1500-2200 - Program to optimal status procedure: 1) Serial cable to UPS, NOT the USB cable 2) Stop ALL APC PowerChute Services 3) Connect to UPS (HyperTerminal) 4) 2400 Baud; 8 bits; 1 stop bit; no parity; Xon/Xoff protocol 5) Empty window --> PRESS [SHIFT+Y] --> console should now show "SM" 6) SM Window --> PRESS [1] TWO times with a TWO second pause --> console should now show "PROG" 7) PROG Window --> PRESS [0] This will report current UPS status (Optimal is 8C) 8) PRESS and HOLD [-] key to program the UPS, cycle to "8C" [-], finally PRESS [+] key at "8C" (Long list!) 9) 8C is final line showing in console --> PRESS [SHIFT+R] --> console should now show "BYE" You are finished, you have reset the hardware to report as optimal status You will hear clicking sounds from the UPS as you cycle through the list, this is normal You may PRESS [SHIFT+Y] and [0] once again to verify the UPS status as "8C" This procedure fixes fresh battery from reporting "0m" runtime and a "discharged" status... I’ve no idea what the others are on about stating this is a fake item or cheap copy. Item packed in an apc box and is the genuine article!! Fitted quickly and replaced a failed battery I’d had for over 7 years. Does it’s job.

Direct replacement for the "origial manufacturers" which I bought for "silly" money and failed in 6 months. These Have been performing perfectly with no issu I bought them.

I bought two... one in July and one in October 2022 - price was comarable to third party so I thought I buy original this time. Both received in APC branded packaging (so much cardboard) and "looked" genuine Today I got the dreaded beeping sound on one of the UPS's with the message "Warnings State: Replace Battery" I thought I replaced them not that long ago... Checking the menu on each: SMT750IC : "Battery Install Date: Jul-2022" & "Replace Battery by: Jun-2025" SMT750I : "Battery Install Date: Oct-2022" & "Replace Battery by: Sep-2023" (see video showing the message) I don't understand how one of them can last 3 years, and another less than 12 months...

I ordered this Sunday evening and it was delivered Tuesday morning. Its well packaged and comes with an installation CD/DVD although I didnt watch it, installation is very simple. The battery is identical to the one being replaced from my APC 1500, it is branded as a genuine APC product and was labelled with a manufacture date of August 2010. They provide a sticker so you can note the date you installed it, I also noted down it was a no.7 cartridge. The charge level was 4 out of 5 bars, it takes approx. four hours to charge before being able to run at maximum load on battery.

Worked to replace the expired battery in my APC UPS, only minor issue is the flap of plastic that makes battery removal from the UPS easier was on the wrong end of the battery, doesn't cause an issue for use but may make replacement next time more difficult.

The battery pack was delivered on time and in good condition. The instructions were fairly good, but just in case I reviewed a YouTube video to make sure I fully understood the replacement steps (with visuals). The new battery is OEM, so it fit perfectly in the UPS chassis. APC also offers free battery recycling (a HUGE plus) so I didn't have to mess with finding an e-waste/recycling location to safely dispose of the old battery. Keep all the original packing material and go to APC website to get your UPS label. After that, just drop off at any UPS location and you're done. NOTE: This offer may only if you've purchased an APC branded battery pack and are returning an APC battery pack. Check the APC battery recycling information to make sure. After installation, I followed instructions on charging and calibrating the battery to ensure best possible performance. Very happy with the results so far.

I purchased this unit to replace the original batteries in my APC Smart UPS 750 that I've had for many years. The replacement batteries were easy to install and resolved the problem immediately. Unfortunately, the replacement batteries failed about a year in a half later. (Purchased September 2021, failed May 2023.) But, I called APC and they sent me a replacement under warranty with my proof of purchase from Amazon. I am very happy with that outcome, and would absolutely buy a new Smart UPS or another set of replacement batteries from APC again in the future.

Exactly what I ordered, a genuine APC replacement battery for my UPS (not a knockoff). Installation was straightforward and the UPS has been working fine.
