Pet Heat Pad - Dog Heated Mat - Cat Heated Pad - Heated Bed Mat 33cm x 44cm (12v)

I have a medium-sized 12 year old Devon Rex and wanted to make sure he would always be able to warm up, as I know he feels the cold. It took me quite a long time to decide which mat to buy, and considered a “whelping mat” as I was worried that the Petnap wouldn’t be warm enough. How wrong I was!When you plug the mat in it doesn’t feel that warm to the touch. However it arrived just as I started coming down with the flu and I ended up lying on the sofa with the Petnap heatpad under my back – when you’re lying on it, it really warms up! But never gets uncomfortably hot, it’s quite amazing.The mat is a good size, not too big and also, as it’s not enclosed in a cat, it allows my cat to lie half-on it if he starts to get too warm. Instantly it’s become his favourite thing in the world, I’ve never seen him so fond of anything before. It’s a really low voltage and the wire is protected with a casing that nothing could chew through, so completely safe to leave on all day. The cover is nice and soft, and washable.I’d truly recommend this product, worth every penny.

Concerned that our arthritic 16 year old cat Sasha was obviously stiff in her gait despite medication and fearing that the onset of winter might make things worse (will winter be worse that last summer?), I ordered the 12 volt Petnap Electric Heat Pad for her on Sunday afternoon after reading the many and highly rated reviews. Email confirmation of dispatch was received on Monday and the item arrived yesterday morning (Tuesday). Excellent service Amazon and Petnap!I placed the covered pad on Sasha's favourite chair and plugged it in. Nosey as ever, it didn't take long for her to investigate and 30 seconds later she was stretched out on it with a blissful look on her face. She only left the pad to feed and take her usual foray outside before she settled down on it again for the night. Last night was the first night since we moved home six months ago, that she had not woken one or both of us at around 3am for a cuddle. Even if her arthritis gets no better Sasha loves this heat pad.The product appears reasonably strong and the heat produced without the Sasha on it is just discernable, but it is obviously a comfortable heat for her when she lies on it. The wires inside can be felt through the cover but Sasha doesn't seem to mind at all! The plush surface of the cover attracts loose cat hair but this can be removed easily with a "sticky" roller.In all, an excellent product that "does what it says on the box" and, so far, has made Sasha a very happy cat. Wish I had bought one ages ago!!

This is the second petnap heat mat that I have purchased. The first unfortunately start stopped working after one winter. It was unclear why this was as the heat mat was undamaged and had not been miss used. I called the company that made them directly and unfortunately they were unwilling to refund or replace it as we had had already had it for a number of months. The only reason I have purchased a second was that we have three semi outdoor cats and I want to give them somewhere warm to sleep. After much searching and looking at many different heat pad options, this mat still appears to offer the best combination of price, safety and low voltage that we are looking for hope we were just unlucky with the first and the second mat will last slightly longer. In terms of functionality it seems to work really well. The cats love it and there is always one asleep on top of it.

Fantastic product - only problem we have is that the cat will not be parted from it! She is 19 and suffers arthritis and crooked joints, often sits hunched up and grouchy but since getting this heat mat she is stretching out and relaxing, she looks rediculously comfortable and it's wonderful to see the difference in her. She purrs all the time now whenever she's on the thing! I should say she still is very stiff and crooked, nothing can fix that but she seems to get a lot of relief from the mat when she's on it.We have had heated beds and stuff before with little interest from the cat but THIS one gets so warm and toasty really fast, better than an electric blanket. She sleeps on it every night and in the winter, it is a comfort to me to know she's sleeping warm and happy.The mat is small - she is only a little cat and has to be balled up to fit on it completely but it doesn't seem to be a problem really, so long as her body is on it she seems fine. For a big cat or normal dog though I would go with the bigger size.
