Mixed Media Masterpieces with Jenny & Aaron: Create Incredible Art Journals and Handmade Mixed Media Treasures with Two Master Crafters

Jenny & Aaron are a great couple, not just artistically but all around human beings. Their love & happiness for each other, animals & life come through in all they do. This book is fun to read & there are great tips from these young but “seasoned” artists. I also appreciate them listing where they get all their materials.

I have been following Jenny Holiday (Heid) & Aaron for seven years! I adore their flair, finesse and color palette to a hilt! Aqua and pink are also my FAVORITE COLORS! I feel so connected because I dream in vintage black & cream with pastels all the time. I'm over the moon to find artists with this same theme too! I so closely relate to Jenny's & Aaron's style and love everything they post! Was tickled AquaPink to see they published their own mixed media book! I rec'd it shipped from Las Vegas in 24 hours! I couldn't believe how fast! I have been gazing into it everyday for a week! I make many of my own vintagey crafts and with their techniques I'm learning so much more! I want to make faux cakes for all my girly friends' birthdays now with my own twist! I'm so motivated to increase my crafting these days and their book couldn't have arrived at a better time! I feel this period on the planet to be a Renaissance for all who are living in the Light by creating LOVE & BEAUTY with every breath. This is what these two pro crafters do everyday! Just received my Kindle download this morning - I pre-ordered this and had forgotten so it was a happy e-surprise for me! I've been a follower of Jenny and Aaron's blog, Everyday is a Holiday, for about a year so when I heard they had a book in the works, I was super excited. I love their dreamy, vintage-y style and yummy pastel palette. I also love their sweet personalities so I was happy to see them shining thru in the book as well.When I ordered the book, I was just hoping for some visual candy and would have been happy with some close ups of Jenny and Aaron's art. What I received in the book was so much more. I was pleasantly surprised when I realized there were easy to understand step-by-step instructions (along with amazing photos) for adorable projects. I was learning new techniques in the first project! I especially appreciate the detailed supply lists for each project as well as a resource list at the end.I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone who appreciates Jenny and Aaron's artistic style - no matter your level of experience in creating mixed media art. Thanks to their guidance, all the projects seem very doable.

I'm a big fan of the "Everyday is a Holiday", art journaling with Jenny and Aaron website. The book is cute and has some clever ideas but I was disappointed to find so much of the book used used canvases other than art journaling. I was expecting instructions on par with those on the website, the ones in the book are definitely more basic, less detailed, and " dumbed-down ". The website has a fantastic description of tools and art products used, the book just skills over these details.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Jenny & Aaron created an amazing art book which happens to be my favorite Christmas present! I could literally sit and look at the pages over and over again. There are colorful photos on every page with extremely clear directions on how to achieve these projects on your own. I was close to giving up on mixed media art until I discovered their blog, "Everyday is a Holiday." This is what I had been looking for for so long but could never find it in other books. Mixed Media Masterpieces is so attractive to look at that it just might end up being a coffee table book at home. The colors just make me happy, the style is achievable for anyone to do at home. This is a book that you should definitely add to your collection!!!

I'm not an art journalist but I took a chance on this book because I'm a huge fan of Jenny's and Aaron's work and have collected quite a few pieces. I love the projects that take art journaling and apply it to other items like the cake and doughnut sculptures and the bracelet. The example pieces are made in the couple's fun and colorful style but the concepts could be applied to any aesthetic.

This is not a bad book, it's just really too crafty and too project oriented for my taste. The instructions do seem to be thorough, so it would be easy to reproduce the projects. I do have to say I like the color schemes and the whimsical drawings by the authors.

Jenny & Aaron are beyond Amazing!!!I have been a fan of Jenny & Aaron for years and when I heard they were writing a book, I knew I HAD TO HAVE IT!I pre-orderd the book the day it was available on Amazon and it was shipped as soon as it was on the shelf!I cannot wait to get started on making goodies!I have lost count of how many things I want to make in this book!Thank you Jenny & Aaron for putting together such an amazing book and making me feel like I am in a class with you with every flip of the page! I love this book, it has a real Alice in Wonderland appeal to me. I am so inspired by this creative duo. Good luck to them! Looking forward to more books in the future!

Los primeros proyectos no me acaban de gustar porque son muy para exposición en tiendas de dulces y cosas así, pero la parte de mixedmedia de cuadros y trabajos para artjournaling, está genial, aunque quizás un poco repetitivos.

This is a wonderful book! I'm a huge fan of Jenny and Aaron. They are very creative and inspirational! This is a wonderful instructional book on how to make lovely crafts. I love it!
