Bristan Echo Kitchen Tap - swivel spout, two lever EasyFit chrome kitchen sink tap, EC SNK EF C

As the clue in the name suggests this tap was easy to fit (well if you don't include the tight working space in the cupboard under the sink, but no fault of the tap) My worktop is 30mm thick so it's not possible to feed the locking plate through from the top (8mm Worktop thickness is the maximum you can do this) so I removed the bottom locking plate, feed the hot and cold feeds through the worktop hole and replaced the locking plate, I did this on my own so had to work by feel rather than sight as you need one arm above the sink and one below, there is however a locating pin fitted so makes this relatively easy to do, if not you'll just need someone to help with this bit. Then you just position the tap where you want it and tighten it into place from above, very easy. The tap comes supplied with shut off valves but as I already had these fitted I didn't need them. The flexible hoses that are also supplied just screw into the hot and cold feeds, and only need to be hand tight, no tool necessary. Then it was just a matter of connecting the flexible hoses to the water supply and slotting the tap into place and tightening it, tools for tightening the grup screws are also supplied with the tap. The tap itself looks great and is of very high quality, the twin levers are free moving and function well. The water flow is smooth and has good pressure. All in all I found this an excellent product and would rcommend it.

I know Amazon are trying to cut down on packaging but I didn't know that extended to no packaging at all. The tap virtually fell out of the unsealed manufacturers box when I picked it up. I purchased this item because of its quality and didn't want to 'buy cheap and buy twice' and not because of the 'Easy fit' system - which was just as well as I found it less easy to fit than a standard tap. Since the access hole in my sink top wasn't big enough I still had to fit the base from below along with the the normal mains connections and all in all I found the fitting system quite fiddly and securing the grub screws particularly difficult. The Easyfit promise only applies to the next Easy fit tap you buy since this can be fitted simply by removing the old tap head and pushing down the replacement. However now that it's fitted it does look good and if it lasts the promised 10 years I'll be happy

A Lovely Swan Neck Tap. Never had a swan neck tap before so done lots of research. We noticed some reviewers refer to the dribbles after you turn off the tap, but this applies to ALL swan neck taps, it's due to the design of the long spout, so if any have given one star due to this should have done a bit more research before buying. The easy fit system is different! When my husband fitted it he found it very unusual, but because we have very little room under our kitchen sink it proved to be a very handy way of fitting. I read one reviewer who said there was only one grub screw holding the tap in position on top that isn't true, there are two screws one each side of the tap base which needs a tiny allan key to fit (and we would not expect Bristan to suppy this to fit them!) The tap tails which come up through the sink hole, hot is the plain pipe and cold is the screw threaded pipe are in the right positions, if the pipework for your mixer tap is plumbed in correctly your hot should be on your left and cold on your right, so if anyone says differently they are incorrect or their plumbing is wrong. All in all we love this tap. The water comes out fast when opened up full and there is NO splashing with the high pressure cold. The gravity fed hot side comes out very well at about 6 litres per minute. It looks Lovely and isn't overly large as some are, it does wobble slightly on our metal sink but no more than our old tap did, we do not have a tap support underneath so this is probably why. I do sometimes knock the tap but I will get use to it being bigger than the old one. The box is very protective of the tap when sent through the post and there was no damage at all, and it also came with flexible hoses which also have water isolation valves and non return valves in the end of the hoses - FANTASTIC! Very very happy with my lovely new tap. Would recommend.

Nice tap, can fit large pot or kettle underneath. Good quality, nice guarantee.

Love this tap.Sturdy piece of equipment well worth the money,would buy it again but I think it will last forever!It fitted perfectly and looks expensive so one pleased customer.

Very nicely engineered piece of kit. Really solid-feeling tap. Unfortunately the hole in my kitchen work surface was too large for the tap at 45mm, so had to return. Didn't give it five stars because I never actually got to fit it and see it working but I thought the fitting mechanism was ingenious and the tap could be easily removed at a later date for the inevitable change of O rings, cartridges, etc.

very happy with this kitchen tap, so easy to fit instructions were excellent looks great priced well so all in all I would highly recommend.
