Appalling quality
Within 5 minutes of opening this for Christmas the wooden tools were cracking and the screws were breaking apart. The worst quality toy I have ever purchased.

Best suited for children aged 5+
The media could not be loaded. Excellent fun yet educational toy for kids aged 5+. It says 36mths on the box but I think a 3 year old would struggle to make sense of this item. This tool kit is so well made it’s sure to last for years. The tool box not only shows a ruler in cm and inches, but also has a clock on the side. The tools are chunky yet lightweight. Perfect for little hands. Whilst you do get a few rods that can be screwed together it would have been nice to have additional shaped pieces to really test the imagination. I’d certainly recommend this kit though.

Quite nicely made. Offers potential for variety. It’s got faults.
I like the inclusion of meaningful and (I’ve checked) accurate scales on the workbench. This set DOES introduce tools and the use of nuts and bolts in a workshop context very nicely for a small child. It’s been made quite well. The basket/work bench is good and solid with the sides and bottom all held together by screws and, I assume, glue. The various elements of it’s structure are solid and not flimsy. The ‘tools’, screws, nuts, pegs and ‘timbers’ are substantial. All in all I’d say the quality is fairly good but not perfect.Where this set, I feel, fails is in the design. Whilst the various elements do provide quite good variety for building using screws with nuts and imaginative play with the hammer and ‘adjustable wrench’ I nevertheless feel that opportunities have been missed. For example there is a ‘clock’ on the end of the tool basket. Whilst I recognise that the ‘clock’ could be either way up, depending on the play, the manufacturers have chosen, presumably to take this into account, to make the clock face free to rotate which does NOT make sense. When we are attempting to introduce concepts like telling the time we, surely, don’t want to confuse the issue by failing to teach that the 12 ALWAYS GOES AT THE TOP! Perhaps if it were weighted such that it always righted itself it would work. Examining the set it’s at this sort of level that I feel I’m not quite satisfied with this product. For me it’s like it’s not quite ‘there’ or just a bit off. I’ve included pics of the toy claw hammer and screw driver. Whilst these are nicely made, and the driver in particular is functional with other items in the set, I find myself unsettled by the potential for harm in them. All in all I’d say it’s quite full on and gritty for a three year old. Perhaps some would say that’s a good thing.I hope these opinions and observations are helpful.

Fun activity
This allows for creative play. But some pieces are not very durable, quite a few have broken.

fun and learning all in one
medoga Wooden Tool Toy ToolboxThis is a lovely wooden toy tool basket with a few wood working tools and accessories included. There are wooden screws, nuts and bolts and a little vice that can be screwed to the box. The toolbox turns over to make it into a work bench. On the side of the box is a clockface. The wood is of a reasonable quality and there are no rough edges or splinters. I would not recommend young toddlers play with this set as you do have some nuts which measure less than an inch across, especially if they still put things in their mouths.Children like to be kept busy with their hands, so this toy is ideal and a fun introduction to a crafting trade. The little toolbox is just the right size for a child to carry and to learn how to hold a saw, hammer and screwdriver. The contents of this kit are good, and they can all be stored back in the box when finished with.I would have liked some form of lid just so the nuts-and-bolts don't get lost after play has finished. This is a nice toy that I would happily recommend to anyone.
