3/4 and 1” punches work well.
I was installing an electrical system for a 3200 sqft mixed-use building. Everything was surface conduit with 4” boxes and pull boxes. Multiple boxes needed a hole or a different size hole and these punches came to save the day. I imagine a hand wrench or socket set could be used, but I used cordless impact wrench and it gave me the hole I needed within 15 seconds. It worked well in a tight space and was way better over a hole saw.I’d punch out the smaller plug and use the hole cutter for the larger needed hole. (1/2 knockout to get 3/4; 3/4 knockout to get a 1”). I didn’t try it, but I think the 3/4 punch bolt is larger so you can’t use a 1/2” knockout for a 1” hole.

Well-Made
I had to return this because I picked the wrong size, but I was very impressed with the quality of construction and packaging. A similar item of lesser quality was $69 at a hardware store.

Quick, Accurate, easy to use
I needed a smooth hole bored into a large metal cabinet to run a power cord, this did the job quickly and efficiently.

A blow mold box would have been nice.
The functionality of this is spot on....but someone didn't think to include a storage box for this set.

Handy hole punch tool
Makes a neat hole in sheet metal. Requires a 0.525” pilot hole in order to do the job. So you’ll want to buy a 9/16” drill bit to make the pilot hole.

Quick and Easy To use
I bought this product to make a large hole in the side of a tall 19" rack. The gauge of still used on the sides was thin so it cut through like butter. I am happy with my purchase. The only downside of this product is that the pilot hole required to use the larger hole punches is significant and is a nuisance to have to make such large holes in the base material prior to using the punch. If the smaller diameter hole could have been used even on the larger punches, it would have been better. If it's a matter of strength, then use of higher-grade steel for the bolt should have been used. But in the end, I'd buy it again!Just my 2 cents...m
