Gomtaro 10230 Large Teeth Silky Pruning Saw - Black

I thoroughly reviewed the range of saws that were out there, looking for a top quality product. I'd never heard of Silky, but the experts were lavish in their praise of the company. They were not wrong. You can't compare this saw with the sort of thing you find in the DIY stores - this is on a different level. It actually does the job with the minimum of effort, making pruning a pleasure. Can't recommend it highly enough - expensive, but worth every penny.

Really good pruning saw. Concerned initially that is wasn't big enough, but it's perfect. Cuts through much thicker branches than you'd expect.

After almost a year of use, it is still razor sharp. Cuts super fast, even better two handed.

This is one mean saw. Throw away all your other wood saws, bow or otherwise, and try this one. The Japanese have come up with a fiendishly clever product that does what it says on the tin. The only caveat is that you should have a firm grip on both saw and the trunk/branch/baulk from which you are sawing off the piece that you want to remove - and wear heavy gloves ! Its so sharp that even a slight touch from the double blades will cut you. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Bought for my wife who’s clearing some scrub. Well made, sharp, light and balanced. Looks like it will wear well too.

Perfect for spoon carving

I use my hand saws for pruning fruit trees of all ages. The Silky Gomtaro is a very good sharp saw, it makes swift cuts and is excellent for pruning branches of about 2cm and larger. I still prefer my ARS PS-30KL saw for smaller diameter branches and also like the well-shaped wooden handle of the ARS PS-30KL. The ARS is a slower than the Silky Gomtaro, but it makes a smoother cut on small branches. The Silky Gomtaro is much faster on larger diameter branches, so it is great for renovative pruning, but I would stick to my ARS PS-30KL for making finer cuts on younger trees

this is my second Silky saw, these are really the best garden saw available, they last for years, retain their sharpness and although comparatively expensive fully justify the small extra pricing, ultimately good value.

I spent several afternoons locked in hand-to-bush/kudzu/tree combat in my back yard. This little saw is extremely easy to use and cuts well in tight spaces, such as with only 1 inch of movement back and forth! It is far easier to cut down and section, say, a 3-4” diameter sweetgum tree with this saw than it would be to wrestle with all the hassle of digging out the chainsaw and getting it running. The machining of the teeth geometry is off-the-scale good! No kidding, these are the Wakizashi of arborist saws. A bit expensive, but worth it!!

Il nome dell'oggetto è sbagliato, nel sito. Per il resto è un'ottimo attrezzo, e dura a lungo (la precedente mi è durata 20 anni). Non molto adatto per tagli superiori ai 5-6 cm di diametro, per quelli medio piccoli il taglio è preciso.

Après un soucis avec une scie envoyer sans étui, problème réglé avec Amazon. top ! La scie est vraiment idéal. l'étui est super avec son système pour décrocher rapidement la ceinture ( pratique pour ne pas être embêter durant le chargement du broyeur de branche). coté coupe rien a dire à part parfait. A acheter les yeux fermés !
