Solid Performance, Great Value for the Price!
I really like the metal housing on this flash drive—it feels sturdy and does a great job at dissipating heat during long transfers. A lot of flash drives tend to overheat and slow down, but this one doesn’t seem to throttle much, even when handling larger files or sustained transfers. It’s held up well with everything I’ve thrown at it so far.The read and write speeds are surprisingly good, especially for a drive in this price range. Honestly, it performs similarly to other drives that cost twice as much, which makes this a fantastic deal. Whether I'm moving large video files, backing up documents, or running portable software, it’s quick and efficient every time.I also haven’t had any compatibility issues. I’ve used it to stream videos directly from TVs, plugged it into Windows machines for everyday use, and even booted off of it without a single hiccup. It’s been reliable across the board, no matter what device I’m using.I won’t bother with detailed speed tests since plenty of other reviews cover that, but I can confirm that the positive results others have reported are accurate. If you’re looking for a reliable, fast drive with a durable build that won’t break the bank, this is definitely worth picking up.

Excellent usb
It’s excellent usb flash drive but it’s sensitive what I mean by sensitive you need to make sure you eject it properly what I found out hard way I thought I ejected and found out it was still open on my steam deck I eject it improperly and it stopped working it’s weird I have pny attache 8gb, lexar 128 mb, sandisk 8gb I was forced improperly eject those flash drives they still work but do it many times pny 1tb flash drive it will stop working.,Do I recommend this flash drive yes I do I never had problem with it besides not my steam deck ejecting properly that was my fault not checking it’s great it does have capacity of terabyte I checked it I use buy this from bestbuy but they raised price on it for unknown reason Amazon have it for price I use pay for 104. With tax easy to use fast transfer speed fast writing speed I use it back up physical copies of nds and 3ds games on there it’s worth it , use it for while it does get warm after I eject it from steam deck if it breaks again I know it’s from getting warm use it play my games on it from so far so good.Feels sturdy good value for money will like it more if it was made better by ejecting it improperly when forced to do so by laptop for stupid reason it still works as I mentioned from other usb flash drives I have worth money and expensive as I say again repeatedly make sure you eject it properly you will not have problems with it

Great drive, with great speeds
When you first open the package you will be impressed with the quality feel of this drive. The whole drive is aluminum and the sliding mechanism is stiff, which is a good thing IMO. I attached a screenshot of CrystalDiskMark so you can see the what speeds to expect from this drive. It also never got hot under sustained loads. Sure they are faster drives, but this is great drive at a good price. It's is only USB-A, but not having caps to worry about losing and USB-A is more compatible with more systems, especially when loading an OS on servers.

Great quality and high speed
High speed, great quality, and plenty of storage at a reasonable price. Feels very well made and has a nice heft to it unlike cheaper plastic cased sticks. Have had several PNY USBs and never any issues.

Speedy File Transfers
Excellent performance for the price. I get 330MB/sec transfer for an entire 35GB file, that's excellent for a 256GB $28 FLASH drive. The solid metal sliding cover exudes quality, and it's nice there's no lid to get lost.

Very fast premium PNY USB Flash Drive
This is a very fast premium PNY USB Flash Drive. It's actually 250GB unformatted capacity, not the 256GB as advertised or what's printed on the packaging. An easy way to calculate that in Microsoft Windows at least is to take the capacity x 0.93 ("roughly 7%"), and for this 250GBx0.93 equals 232GB formatted usable capacity which is close to what I have. If it was 256GB then it should instead be near 238GB formatted which it clearly isn't.Various disk tools state it's an SSD. CrystalDiskInfo shows it's using NVM Express 1.0/1.1 suggesting it might be NVMe SSD based, or using the NVMe protocol. The near constant idle 49c to 51c temperature might suggest it's an SSD.I'd like to see this in other colors such as; black, gold, white gold, etc., I'd buy more of them especially if the coloring was more durable since I can see a few very small random spots on a brand new drive where the coloring is possibly too thin and the underlying brighter natural metal color is showing through.Other:· When formatted as NTFS in Windows TRIM can be ran on it just like an SSD.· It has S.M.A.R.T. built into it to list the temperature, remaining drive life, and the health status in tools like CrystalDiskInfo, although that's about it since S.M.A.R.T. self test scans can't be ran on it.· It fits the USB slots on the Sony PlayStation 4 Slim with no clearance issues. The PS4 has the option available to format it as Extended Storage which is something I didn't try.· The USB connector is the kind that's designed to deform/fail instead of damaging the USB ports on devices unlike all metal unibody flash drives with a one piece design.· Linux Mint v22 Cinnamon ISO "Live CD" booted from it with no issues.· It's been reported by some review websites that it writes much faster than what the packaging states of 250 MB/s sequential write speed, and I can confirm that since I got 424.6 MB/s sequential write speed in CrystalDiskMark on my USB 3.0 (5GBPS) system. Performance in comparison on my system is it runs at the same speed as any internal SATA3 SSD I've used externally in a USB 3.0 (5GBPS and 6GBPS) external enclosure to make a DIY external/portable SATA3 SSD.It would be nice if PNY would list more information in the specifications because this is entirely unknown:· What 3D NAND Flash type is used, is it TLC or QLC?· What's the Drive Writes Per Day ("DWPD") rating, and Terabytes Written ("TBW") rating? This is sort of easy to inaccurately figure out based on the warranty period and capacity.· What kind of caching system does it use? Does it have DRAM Cache? Is it DRAM-Less? Does it use SLC Cache?· What's the sustained write speed "Up To" after the cache is exhausted?Tip:Struggling to get the USB connector to slide back inside the protective metal housing (saw a guy rip one of these apart in a video to "remedy" it in his video review). It's very easy if pushing down against something like a wood table top or a soft mouse pad and it closes without issue, otherwise it's very difficult to pull it closed using just your fingers.

A Super Fast Flash Drive
It gets a bit warm in heavy use, but the data transfer is like lightning.
