Pay no attention to bad reviews!
I have used this inkbrush for 4 years and still love it! Still going strong. I use this on a daily basis for my job as a caricature artist and have 4-5 back ups in case I lose one or forget it at a gig.Pros:1. it is refillable2. It has nylon bristles that last forever if taken care of...unlike many foam or brush “tip” markers that wear in a few days. This does not. It keeps a point if taken care of like you would a paintbrush3. You can control the amount of inkflow. This is where many negative reviews come from. It takes a little practice but the flow is very consistent with how hard you squeeze. I personally squeeze until I just see ink start to appear in the clear chamber. That gives me no mess and will draw about 1 caricature from start to finish! If squeezed too much and ink fills the chamber, you will get too much ink...although sometimes I Internationally do this if I know I need to fill a big area with black. Control in a brush is good and this gives you that!4. I personally like the medium tip because it keeps a smaller point and still gives me phenomenal variation of line width. I used to use the large tip but I couldn’t get a small line when the weather was hot...making the ink flow too much. Medium is my favorite now.5. You can buy these anywhere! Some of my caricature artist friends use markers and get used to one brand just to find out later that they are being discontinued. (Try to find a cone tip markette). This technology (paintbrush) has been around for centuries and will continue to be the most versatile.6. Many different line tricks! You can ink a single hair thin to a thick, bold line. You can also blow on the bristles to create splatter (see shaved head in pic), you can used dry brush techniques to create texture like in bamboo or bark. I’m sure I’ll figure out new tricks in the future.Cons:1. Takes time to learn to use. You must use this like a paintbrush, not a marker. If you’ve ever watercolored, you will catch on quickly. If you’ve never used a paintbrush, then look at some youtubes.2. Putting the cap back on should be done carefully so as not to bend the bristles. Once on, however, it creates an airtight click! It’s inexpensive and will last a lifetime. It creates beautiful lines...buy it.

Very Beautiful
So let me start off with bad news- it was my fault, but this brushpen has leaked quite a bit over some of my books, I think because the cap got loose or I stuffed it in my scripture case, for church stuff.I don't blame the maker of this product for that, so otherwise, it does some outstanding work. Very wavy lines, not for the nervous, shaky hand. I tried using this to write with my feet and it made them steadier more quickly than using crayons or other hard stuff.I wouldn't have considered myself an artist when I had this, so I don't really know what to say. It's very inky and dries efficiently I guess. Value for money, I just don't know. Maybe a bit expensive for me for when I was using it, but now, that rating would be closer to a 5. So, to be fair, 2 stars because of me not being good at art at the time.

Good quality and value
Writes just like a traditional Chinese brush writing instrument, the only question is, how long the ink will last and how to refill the ink or is there an ink cartridge inside the barrel which can be replaced? Anyway, it's an excellent writing experience. will update later if I can find more information about this brush pen.

TO REMOVE THE RED RING UNTWIST THE 'OTHER' WAY!!!
IF YOU HAVE JUST BOUGHT THIS PEN FOR THE FIRST TIME READ THIS!!TO UNSCREW the body of the pen from the brush by TWISTING CLOCKWISE (to the RIGHT) !! This is the OPPOSITE of the way 99% of all things in the world tighten and untighten. It took me two hours to discover this at which point I had nearly destroyed the pen trying to "Untighten" it. I finally used a pair of wire cutters to just cut the red ring off. Then I soaked the pen in hot water to "loosen" it up. Finally found a Youtube video of a review and the reviewer casually mentioned "oh, it unscrews the other way". This pen almost drove me mad.The review: After some use (I do line drawings, sketches, gesture drawing, foliage, people) I really like this pen for what it is. Good pen for the price and will be buying again. The barrel of the pen is the ink resevoir and it a very light, thin, and plyable plastic. It doesn't feel very sturdy in the hand but very 'squishy', this is necessary because you squeeze the barrel to advance more ink to the tip. But the pen doesn't have much 'hand feel' if you know what I mean. The tip: Able to lay down extremely fine lines as well as broad strokes and thicks and thins depending on angle of pen and how much pressure you apply. Very hard (almost impossible) to get a perfectly even, straight line with this pen because the brush can slide around under your hand. Very different feel that a traditional pen like a Pigma Micron. But this pen is excellent for quick sketches, gesture drawing, landscapes, etc. which is what I'm using it for. You can also do extremely fine work if you slow down and use care. One of the things I'm really enjoying about this pen is that it is both a very fast (good for big movements and sketching) as well as slow (small movements, finely detailed, crisp lines). The ink: Love this ink. Very black, opaque, doesn't feather, does bleed a little bit, and matte. As others have noted, to get a nice opaque line you really have to slow down, make sure the brush is loaded with ink by squeezing the resevoir, and take your time to get what you want. That's okay! This ink is absolutely not waterproof and takes several minutes to fully dry. So for watercolorists or anyone who wants to apply a wash over a drawing know that you will get lots of bleeding from the initial lines and it will muddy up your drawing. Although, because the ink isn't waterproof, it's easy to smudge the ink for shadows and to create depth. That's okay too! Just be aware of it and use this pens properties to your advantage.I would highly recommend this pen to anyone who likes pens, who like using pens, who likes drawing and making marks on paper with pens, who likes playing with ink, but remember, UNSCREW THE OPPOSITE WAY.

Very nice pen
Nice pen…can’t beat the Japanese in this category. I’m still learning how to use it. The brush is very flexible.

My son started to study kanji
I bought it as a gift for my son. He started to study writing kanji as soon as he unpacked it. Now he can't stop writing :) Strongly recommended.

Fajny pędzel.
Chyba 1 z najlepszych pędzli rodzaju japońskiego jaki używałem, można robić cieńkie pociągnięcie jak i grube zamalowując duże obszary kartki lub płótna.

Ottimo
Ottimo, l’inchiostro non dura molto ma, attraverso un video su you tube, ho imparato a riempire il serbatoio con il mio inchiostro, ed è tornato nuovo.
