Orchard Toys Big Number Jigsaw Puzzle, 20 Piece 1-20 Educational Puzzle For Kids Ages 3-6, Develops Hand-Eye Coordination

I purchased this jigsaw for my daughter’s second birthday and it has been a hit. She loves the bright and colourful pictures of favourite animals. It’s also a lovely size, it’s really big (bigger than her other jigsaws) which makes it feel like a fun project to work on together. The pieces slot together well, so it’s nice and easy for her to do it. The pieces also feel sturdy, though the storage box is a little less so, though this isn’t a deal breaker.I love the educational component of the jigsaw too. It gives her good exposure to number shapes and also number concepts, with appropriate quantities of animals to represent each number. I suspect she will gain more and more from this as she gets older. There’s also the opportunity for some nice learning around colours (including dark and light versions of some colours).The assembling of the jigsaw is also nicely scaffolded for younger toddlers; the puzzle comes with a to-scale poster of the puzzle (see my picture). This has been great for helping my daughter to get the pieces in the right place. I’m sure the initial act of matching the pieces to the poster will help her with the ultimate learning of the ordering of numbers.My one very teeny gripe is that the pieces don’t stay together particularly well; if the puzzle gets knocked more than just a slight nudge some pieces will come apart. This hasn’t bothered my daughter though, it never stays assembled for long anyway.

Orchard toys are by far my favourite puzzles. Excellent quality, very engaging and educational. They act as amazing gifts as well.

I’m a nursery teacher and this jigsaw is a wonderful way to teach three year olds number recognition to 10.It has animals to count, but also it’s colour coded so children struggling to recognise some numbers can fall back on colour matching until they are used to what the number looks like. It also comes with a little poster to stick in their bedroom- don’t underestimate the power of seeing something every day, it really does work to help the brain commit things to memory.I bought this for my own daughter who only recognised 1-3. Within a week she recognised all ten numbers. I’ll be taking it to school now to help those in my class who don’t yet know all their numbers.

It is a nice puzzle but my grandson struggles with it as his attention span is not very long, and it takes a while for him to learn what is required of him - but here's hoping he gets this done.

22 month old grandson loves it

I bought 3 puzzles for my young grandson, only one of which was an Orchard Toys puzzle and the only one I didn't throw away. The bright colours, the thick and sturdy pieces, the inclusion of the picture to follow...all made for a perfect puzzle which my three year old grandson loved.

This is ideal for my 2.5 year old. It’s a Christmas present which I’m sure he will love - especially as he’s obsessed with animals!

Piezas grandes,con colores vivos y buena calidad de impresión.Viene con un póster del mismo tamaño del puzzle.Puedes usarlo como póster normal o para guiar al niño usándolo de plantilla para hacer el puzzle encima,ya que es un poco complejo xq para hacerlos solo por el dibujo les resultaría difícil tendrían que reconocer todas las letras y su orden.La caja tiene algunas preguntas que se pueden hacer una vez está hecho para jugar y darle más valor al puzzle ...es un poco chorra pero te da pie a trabajaras conceptos.La caja tiene un asita que facilita que los niños sean más autónomos.

Tout le monde adore ce grand puzzle très ludique, très coloré et d'une excellente qualité. Il est livré avec un poster taille réelle, on y apprend les nombres de 1 à 10, les couleurs et quelques animaux. Très rigolo, très motivant pour les élèves qui le redemandent. C'est parfait !

My 2 and a half year old nephew loves this. He calls it the animals and doors puzzle and it keeps him very well engaged.

Non me lo aspettavo così bello! Cartoncino spesso e resistente, bei disegni con colori accesi! Sicuramente acquisterò altro di questo marchio!
