Surely everyone knows estimated lifespan claims are a joke by now. back up the daft claims: what's the warranty???

I purchased two unbranded 100w LED bulbs, they didn't get the thumbs up from my Mrs who complained about how dull they were. They are in constant use especially in the short winter days. one lasted just over a year so I purchased the more expensive Philips 100w to replace it, it was far brighter than the unbranded bulb, different class. Shortly afterwards, about 6 months later, the second unbranded bulb failed, so I purchased another Philips 100w to replace it. As both bulbs are in standard lamps in the living room, the difference in brightness with the two quality bulbs in place, was immediately apparent, no comparison. The first Philips I purchased has been going for 2.5 years, already lasting 12 months more than the unbranded ones and still going strong. To summarise, buy quality branded bulbs and you have a far better chance of them lasting to manufacturers lifespan claims

can the 13 w led (100w) bulbs be used outside the house

I haven't used this lamp outdoors, but I have had a CFL in a sealed, waterproof unit under an open porch for the last couple of years without any problems. It seems to depend on the fitting and location.

Do these bulbs come with a guarantee? Thanks

It does not seem to have a specific guarantee but the manufacturer claims "Never change your light bulb - Lasts up to 15000 hours" and I suspect that a failure within that period would suggest the lamp did not conform with the specifications therefore the manufacturer should replace it.
