Water Pump Condenser Unit for Indesit Tumble Dryers

A perfect for my indicate tumble dryer so thankful because this saved me loads of money not having to buy a new one

Arrived the next day as ordered via Prime. My hotpoint aqualtis dryer was displaying h20 on the screen, had a google and most forums said we needed this water pump. I looked for videos online on how to change the part and it was so so easy to fit. The great thing about this part is that its the new updated water pump so the part you take out which comes in a big piece (but has separate pieces inside) is now replaced with a better smaller part but has all the gubbins inside it. This literally took me 3 minutes to fit from start to finish. Alot of reviews of this exact same part (on ebay for more money) say that it sounded louder but I have found thats not the case with ours. Im just happy my dryer is back to normal now. If i need any other parts for appliances, i would use this seller again.

Our Indesit IDC8T3 tumble dryer started making what can only be described as a cross between a screech and a grating noise, not all the time, but after about 6-7 minutes of use. I was going to buy a new dryer until I saw how much they'd gone up since we bought this one. So I did a bit of research and learned on Youtube that this is probably down to the condenser water pump which pumps the water from the sump to the emptying tank. I proved this by running the machine with the pump disconnected and sure enough, the noise was gone. Obviously, it had to have a pump, so I bought this and it fits perfectly. It was also very easy to fit. Basically disconnect 2 blade-type connectors, remove the old pump (4 lugs), replace with the new pump, reconnect the 2 connectors, put the cover back on. No tools required at all. Machine is running perfectly again now. Saved me nigh on 300 quid.

My indesit tumble dryer started to make a really horrid noise and could work out why. After checking online I found that it was the water pump. I checked to see how much it would Cost to have an engineer repair it and they were talking about over a hundred pounds for Labour alone. I then saw this and thought for the great price I would try and change it myself. I looked online and followed the video and in just half an hour I was back up and running. I have used my dryer several times and it’s quiet as a mouse. I’m so happy I decided to do this myself. For anyone worried it was really easy to do following the online video and saved me so much money.

Our brand new Indesit Tumble Dryer was less than 3 months old when it stopped working! The red light which tells you the water chamber at the top left hand side is full stayed on - despite there being no water in the container. Lots of online research led to videos [there are several videos, but some are not great] explaining that this is because the small "impeller" on the bottom of the pump, which pushes the water that gathers from the condenser up to the reservoir at the top, is made of rubber and perishes very quickly - in our case after less than 3 months use! When this happens, the water is NOT pumped up to the top reservoir and so accumulates in the bottom chamber where the pump is, eventually raising the float switch and illuminating the red warning light and turning the dryer off. Watch the video - replacing this pump (you can replace the impeller on the old pump, but for £17 why bother) is quick, easy and provides the solution if the problem is with the pump. A new pump from Indesit is circa £45, so at £17 this one is a snip - and it is the same part, just from a different supplier.
