We fitted these to all our upstairs windows, as the kids are of 'that age' that exploring is a concern.The end result looks really neat (the little plastic covers clip over the drilled / screwed in section and look excellent). ** Word of warning - don't clip the covers on too early - they are awful to try and get off **With that in mind, I can only imagine that if I ever need to remove these, it will be in a semi-destructive manner for the window locks - the covers clip over the brackets so firmly that I don't think you could remove them without cutting frankly.But onto the important bit. They are very sturdy. I can push with all my weight against an open window, and this doesn't feel like it will even budge, let alone give way. So I have complete confidence in the security of the restrictor to protect the kids against a nasty fall.They came with everything you need (in theory) in the packet. Just add a drill and screwdriver.Only downside for me is that the screws supplied were marginally too long (by about 2mm) to fit into my window frames (uPVC type) so after struggling to drill into the frame and risking damage by drilling too far, in the end I just went to B&Q and bought identical screws which were just fractionally shorter. It made the fitting much easier & doesn't seem to have detracted in any way from the strength of the fit (the longer screws were mostly sitting in hollow bits of the uPVC frame anyway).

This product gives me peace of mind. My youngest kid has tried to open upstairs windows.

Great , stops the window from blowing open. Easy to fit , could be even better with an adjustable chord length .

Great product, easy to fit, anyone can do it, just needs a bit of elbow strength to screw the long screws in. Very strong product, once on you feel safe. Ideal for safe ventilation on ground floor flat windows, or upstairs windows if you have little people.
