Excellent - Fully Waterproof - Heavy Duty Poncho - Highly Recommended!
I bought this poncho because I wanted XXL. I was at the Silverstone Grand Prix 2016 and you can guarantee all four seasons of weather in one day so I had a 17" ruck sack laptop bag and needed to contain shorts, T-shirt, jumper, sandals, waterproof jacket, this poncho fitted into the laptop pouch without issues and room for extra items. If you have a small pocket to squeeze it into then it wont fit at all and definitely not for sticking in your pocket of your jeans! The Poncho is heavy but this is sold as heavy duty, I would estimate about 900g (not measured it) it is durable material that wont get ripped easily on slight snags. The hood size is reasonably large but gives you the option of a peaked waterproof cap if you want a bit extra but I found it fitted well and you had pull cords to adjust as necessary. The Poncho is HUGE. I'm 5ft 7 and 11 stone and this was enormous on me, if you want this for walking or cycling then not recommended as it is 2meters in length. If you are 6ft or over then it might work for you. It would also work if you had a reasonable sized rucksack on your back.My purpose was to use this whilst sat in my large camping chair. I used this to wrap around the entire chair, put the poncho hood over me and clip up the poppers. This could be done quickly in under 1 minute. There was two very heavy downpours lasting about 5 minutes (almost torrential rain) to give you some idea on how much rain came down this was 30 minutes before the start of the Grand Prix and they had to perform the start and first 5 laps under safety car due to the amount of standing water on the track!Everyone had a good laugh at me cocooned in this thing but after the downpours had finished I simply unbuttoned it and was completely dry and so was my chair, so I had the last laugh. This is allegedly rated to 10,000mm, I have no reason to doubt it.All-in-all a very good product for the use I needed which was quick very large poncho to cover me in the chair. If you want one for an event where you are sat in a chair for a long time such as fishing, grand prix, etc and want to cover you and the chair then highly recommended. If you want light or mobile Poncho then avoid!

Festival savior
This poncho is INCREDIBLE! I wore this to an extremely rainy festival and managed to stay dry throughout all of it where all my friends were using raincoats or cheap ponchos. It's very long - goes down to about halfway to my calves and I'm 5'9". The poncho is fairly heavy but that's why it's so effective because it's not just some thin material you're throwing over yourself. No damage whatsoever even with the rough crowds of a festival. Easy to clean too.Only thing to add to this if you want to stay completely dry is a pair of waterproof over-trousers as your legs will still get a bit wet (if the poncho went TOO low, it'd be dragging on the mud so this is unavoidable). Once I have some waterproofs on my legs, it was absolute bliss.Basically do yourself a favor - buy this if you want to actually stay dry out in heavy rain.

The best poncho for me
I have had this a few years and love it. It goes with me to everything from picnics to outdoor plays to festivals. It has saved me getting wet so many times! It is also big - if needed the kids can hide under it, it covers me and a camping chair. I am 6'5 though so this is great for my needs. It is a little heavier than some ponchos but I add it to a camping bumbag and easy enough to carry.

Huge!
Baleno Men's Tornado Rain Poncho 2XL/3XL.This is huge! When laid out flat it is oval in shape, longer at the front and back. I am 1.82m (just under 6') and it hangs to just below my knees when standing still. With arms stretched out to the side, my fingers just stick out. It is the same length at the front and the back, but the rear appears a little shorter when walking. A rucksack underneath would lift the rear considerably, but because there is a lot of loose material hanging down, one could carry two suitcases underneath! And wannabee Nordic walkers could use their sticks underneath. When walking, there is some riding up the legs so gaiters may not be able to keep rain off entirely, but having a poncho any longer would be impractical. There are buttons down the front and down the sides, both connections being lapped. One may choose to put one's hands through the topmost buttons at the side, like sleeves. It weighs just over 1Kg. The weight helps keep it down in the wind but it means that it is not suitable to pack as a light, emergency poncho. There is no pocket to fold the poncho back into nor a bag or pouch for it.I have only tested it for about 30 minutes in heavy rain. Generally, it seems waterproof but there were some locations where some very small water droplets were appearing inside. Although not a breathable fabric, there is so much space and freedom of air movement underneath that this was unlikely to be internal moisture. When the material is folding tightly, it does appear to stress the internal coating: it lightens in colour but then returns. That may raise questions about durability. This, and the small droplets that appeared, prompts me to drop one star.

Baleno Men's Tornado Rain Poncho - Green, Large size.
Item received 2/12/15.I am very pleased with both the design and quality of this poncho. I particularly like the press-stud front fastening making it easier to put on and off or leave it open, if applicable. It suits my height (almost 6 feet tall) and the sleeve length is suited to the extra length of my arms. The weight is quite substantial and should prove useful on wet and windy occasions.

Brilliant, keeps me dry!
Big, heavy but effective! Wife takes the Michael as I look like Batman, but who cares I stay dry! L

A heavy weight poncho appears to be very tough material and should last a long time
X Large size was excellent for me, On the downside there was no carry or storage bag. This was made clear in the advert but due to the relatively high price II would have liked to have seen a bag included.
