I used to use painters tape around my drill bits to know when to stop, but the problem with that was it tears when I just go over by a few mm. Finally got this depth stop for my next project. The set came with two sizes. I mainly need the larger one for the peg holes I’m drilling, but it’s nice to have the smaller one for pre drilling holes without going through the entire wood. The stop is pretty easy to use. Just put the drill through and tighten the two metal piece together to lock it in place. It’s metal and seems durable. Worth getting especially if you’re doing a lot at the same depth.

Holds the depth position where I set it. I've used it with Tapcon concrete screws holding strong pressure on the drill and they work very well

Cannot tighten enough to keep from slipping. Have to adjust after each drill. They found the trash can.

It is very easy to put the depth stop on the drill bit and set the stop depth exactly where you want it to allow you to drill the same depth holes. Once installed, the depth stop is quite snug and it stays where you set it. I am very happy with these drill depth stops and highly recommend them.

I needed to drill several holes the same depth. Once I made sure the depth stop was at the right position I securely tightened the depth stop to the bit and was able to drill all the holes the perfect depth. For the money this os a great product. Much preferable to wrapping tape around the drill bit

Used for chair seat. I needed repetitive holes at the correct depth to guide production. This was perfect for the job. Highly recommend.

These are wayy better than using painters tape to mark the depth of pre drilling! Would recommend!

I tightened this as tight as possible on the drill bit but it still slipped causing me to drill 1/4 inch further than where this was initially set. The rubber o ring just does not provide enough resistance to prevent the unit from slipping on the Bit.
