Sangean SR-35 Portable Stereo

SIMPLY one of the best portable radio on the market, quality built, solid, you can notice this by just looking at it Not even touch it , very good sound quality , crisp fresh, crystal clear and excellent balance between base and treble without having a separate knobs to balance it , solid a long aerial for FM gives you the clearest reception in my opinion it/s a "hidden JEM" , all the controls wheels operates in a solid motion and have that luxury feel when you touch it, if you are looking for a radio with that size Please do NOT hesitate, and YES it's a little pricy but my opinion it's worth every penny

I chose this model after reading numerous comparison sites. It was said that this model was best at picking up a lesser signal that was sandwiched between more dominant signals. This is reasonably true, especially for such a small piece of kit.

A very good little radio. It holds the stations it picks up even though it can be a weak signal that is sandwiched between two stronger ones. The build quality is good and it runs off 2 x AA batteries. Only slight draw back is that it could easily be knocked over when stood up on its end. The product unto itself is 5*. However I gave it 4* due to the price - I paid £23.41 at the time. I believe this is too expensive for a small radio of this size. There again, these days to get a quality product like this maybe that is what you have to pay? However I remember back in the 1980s you could get a quality radio like this for around five pounds which would be about £15 in todays money (June 2017). So even though it is a quality product I think it could be slightly less expensive.

Poor tuner selection wheel mechanism! The sound is strong and clear! Surprisingly for a portable radio! Receives weak signals in FM and AM! I put energizer batteries and consumption is quite low! I succeeded in receiving the italian program RAI 1 from England in the AM. In the evenings, this channel sounds good! From Spain I received several channels in AM: Nacional, Cope and Ser! Worth buying!
