The image of the product is that of an NBC canteen top that you can place a special straw into the top and connect to your gas mask. If you order this you will receive just a regular canteen top and not the one pictured.

I ordered some canteen caps that would allow me to hook up a drinking straw system to my gas mask. The caps pictured was what was needed, but when arrived was NOT what I ordered. My canteens already have caps that seal properly. I'm very disappointed and caps over priced for what they do. I would of given this "0" stars if possible.UPDATE--Email(ed) with seller on 1/8/21 quickly right after contacting them and they're sending out correct caps on Monday1/11/21. I'm updating my satisfaction to 5 stars for the good customer service.

Vague description. Thought I was ordering the canteen since only picture I saw was of the canteen. Turns out I bought the chemical cap meant to allow the user to drink from canteen while wearing has mask. Although I will take this in stride and say that the cap is of a good quality, fair price and received the item only 2 days after purchase so shipping was very expedient! While annoyed with ordering the wrong thing the item is great and received great service! No need for refund or to return item I'm keeping it! Just a recommendation, state somewhere that it's the canteen cap!

Described and pictured is an M1 canteen cap, the hardware of which allows a gas mask straw to be inserted - exactly as described. What I just received in the mail is not. It's a solid piece of plastic, no rubber hardware, no valve. For my needs, it's worthless and will be going into a junk drawer likely never to see the light of day again, if not the garbage.If you're looking for an M1 cap, look elsewhere.

I have an Israeli Gas mask with the drinking tube. These caps are made for the USGI drinking tube which I figure has a hard plastic tube. I can't push down the plunger with the Israeli hose. I had to order two israeli Canteens. I like them though, I would buy them again but only I have a US drinking tube.

Beware, it is not a "Cup" like it says in the title, it is just the M1 cap. I was not tricked, I am just pointing out the typo in the title. The cap is just what I asked for, works perfectly with M17a1(a2), M40, MCU-2/P. This cap ONLY works with US Masks, NOT Israeli masks or British masks. It is a tight fit, but after a few days of moderate use it gets worn in.

I had originally bought this so I could use it with my new FM-12 gas mask. I read through the questions people asked and was told that it would work with any NATO standard connector. Apparently it only works with American gas masks and not British or Israeli

A prep kit must have, this is actual mil. Spec. Surplus, new in plastic packaging. It contains 1 canteen cap and the dust/debris cover for the straw bung (the little green thing sticking up vertically in the picture) it does not come with the canteen or the cap holder (thing that secures the cap to the canteen) I'm happy with mine, the shipping was fast considering it wasn't prime and had free shipping so I certainly would recommend.
