Camera Source CS-GMTRb Chevy Silverado/GMC Sierra Backup Camera for Universal Monitors (RCA)

After buying and installing (then removing) two of the cheaper cameras, decided to get this one even though it was considerably more expensive. Wish I would have gotten this one first! Picture quality is 10x better than the cheapos. And the Camera Source is a fantastic vendor. High quality products with easy to follow instructions that were clearly prepared by someone who has installed many of these. The others didn't even have a crappy "translated from Chinese" instruction sheet. You get a lot of expertise when you buy from Camera Source.

These are easy to install. This camera is much better than the others I've tried on Amazon ( as expected since I did pay much more for this one). It does come with everything you need for an install for aftermarket head unit. Mine came with a 3.5" dash mount monitor. I wasn't expecting one since they didn't specify that in the product description. I guess I will just sell the monitor. They may have sent this by mistake so I would ask the seller before buying, if you need one.My only suggestion to them is to upgrade to a thicker, better quality cable for the price. You can't use a different cable since it's a special connector that has both video and power. I was a little disappointed by this since I had a quad shielded, higher quality video cable already ran to the firewall from a previous camera but I had to remove it to use the smaller cable supplied.Overall, I am happy with this camera kit. I would buy it again but I do hope they take my suggestion to upgrading cable to a better quality.

Love this camera, smooth motion HD crystal clear pic day or night, even when the sun is right behind the truck. Only issue and reason for knocking off 1 star is the guidance lines are about a foot off center, obviously the camera isn't centered in the bezel, so I'm going to assume it's not fixable or adjustable. My suggestion, leave a hitch ball in your truck (like 99% of us truck guys already do) and use that to center yourself in parking spots and not hit stuff, don't use the lines! That's really the only flaw, I have it connected to a Pioneer 1400NEX head unit just as an FYI.

Easy install, full view of bumper / hitch and you can see up some due to the wide lens. I had purchased the $60 China version and returned it because I couldn’t see the hitch and it was low. With this one I can see my entire bumper/hitch and back into the street.

Absolutely the best camera out there, only to be out done by the company. Chris, at Camera Source, is one of the best to do business with. Either answers the phone immediately, or if a voice message is left, ALWAYS calls back within 30 minutes. Quick to answer any questions, and stands behind his product 100%, with questions asked. The resolution on the camera is superb, even at night, which is phenomenal for a product like this. The ease of installation is exceptionally easy, even for a layman with limited mechanical ability.If you are looking at this camera, do yourself a favor and do buy from Camera Source. Had problems with the first camera about 3 weeks after it was installed. The customer service was extremely helpful in fixing the problem and resent me a new camera and wiring at no cost. They worked with me with out hesitation and have had no problems since. The new camera works great. Picture is super clear during the day and ok at night. But better back up lights would help. I bought this to replace a camera that was installed by a big box store in my area. The instructions were easy and installed the camera way better then the way that the box store tec did.

Excellent camera and shipping on time. Only snag was in drilling a 1 inch hole on the bottom of the tailgate where prescribed by the instruction. On my 2012 Silverado LT. there is a torsion bar that runs along the bottom of the tailgate from one end to the other. Supplied 1 inch snap bushing does not fit in the bottom of the tailgate due to this torsion bar.I had to enlarge existing oval drain hole to 3/4 inch and install a rubber grommet of that size.Other option is use existing oval drain hole to run the harness.(It will be a very tight fit)

I had an aftermarket camera that mounted to the license plate of my 2010 Silverado. The viewing angle was horrible and the camera quality wasn't that great. This camera not only looks factory, it comes with all of the necessary mounting hardware, and the camera quality is great, and the viewing angle is great. No complaints here.Edit: added a pic showing the field of view, including bumper and tow hitch.
