The new dewalt range is absolutely brilliant and this drill is up there with the best of the range!batteries blow the makitas and milwauki out the water i had a whole week of constant use before charging on first buy, watching my work mates charging their dewalt nicad and older stick bats every 15 mins i nearly went to another brand, glad i didn't!This is body only and as far as the drill goes its perfect for nearly all jobs. Light balanced weight to load up sheets of plasterboard and drill into all surfaces!I would personally use a sds corded for large concrete worksabsolutely brilliant drill and 3 years warranty yes please !GO ON DEWALT , THE YELLOW AND BLACK IS BACK!

Very powerful and a great price from amazon. I bought a set with 1 drill 2 batteries and a charger. I then purchased another bare bones drill to give me 2 and ultilising the spare battery. The bare bones drill was so cheap it was a no brainer to just have a pair. Really pleased with them both!!!

Drill in 8inch concrete - no problem, screw 100 screws - no problem, need a light - no problem. Powerful, always with me !

Compared to my Dewalt 10.8V drill, this is a powerful and compact combi drill, which I got as a companion to the marvellous Dewalt 18v impact driver I have, to use the spare battery with that.I understand the motor in this has brushes, so may be a bit less powerful and a bit less efficient and a bit longer than the later brushless version, which is about £17 more at the time of writing. I also understand the brushless version has the LED light in a different position, lower down the handle, so it is not obscured by the chuck. However as a serious DIY user, this more than meets my needs.I am very impressed with its performance, but after less than a month it gets stuck in the hammer mode and it is difficult to get back to the normal drilling mode. I wrote to the supplier, AHC Powertools, who said it is likely to be a bit of initial tightness in the mechanism, which should ease with use. I find if I set it back to normal drilling and drill with a masonry bit against brick, this tends to reset after a few seconds.

Very good price, Dewalt quality, what more can be said. Arrived quickly and now in daily use in the workshop. It was the latest model as well, faster than my other Dewalt drill that uses the same battery packs.

Second one ive had now. 1st one lasted 6 years of heavy use and was a similar price at about £45. Excellent product.

I had three of these excellent drills and couldn't resist the low price to get a fourth. 'Nuff said!

what a lovely drill, I always use a Dewalt drill but this is exhalant I use 4ah batteries with it and now I can use it for almost a week between charges as against at least 2 charges a day with my old and very heavy NiCad drill
