Pretty easy to assemble, just employ common sense before you build it, and check you have the correct orientation of parts before you push them together.If you build it properly it is really sturdy.Hose connectors work as expected, and don't leak. Make sure the connectors on your hose are fitted properly, also if they are old / have had a lot of use then they could leak.Wheels turn free and smoothly.Nice and light to move around.Wound on 30+ metres of double wall Hozelock hose without breaking a sweat.Handy clip on the handle to keep the hose end tidy.Decent quality black plastic, with lightly textured finish. Makes a nice change from the various shades of green or yellow offered by usual big brands / diy stores.I would buy this again, but it is sturdy enough not to worry about it.

The good points: the quality of the parts and the assembled reel are very good and the pictures on the box that you have to follow to assemble the parts are fairly easy to follow. Having said that, it was not obvious that, when inserting the two straight metal handle bars and the `U' shaped metal stand bar into their respective slots, you have to ensure that the holes in these metal bars engage with plastic tabs inside the slots. This ensures that the metal bars become fixed and not easily withdrawn.The not so good points: the low weight of the hose reel makes it difficult to keep it steady while rewinding the fairly substantial weight of 20-30 metres of hose. Also, the vertical handle bars on the reel tend to get in the way when doing the re-winding. I found the best way to keep the reel steady when rewinding was by keeping my foot on the metal `U' shaped stand bar. However, this means putting one hand through the vertical handle bars to guide the hose onto the reel. To rewind from the other side of the reel means having to bend over the vertical handle bars, which is a bit of a pain.Since the winding handle can be installed on either the left or right hand side of the reel, you may want to consider which side of the reel you will stand when rewinding the hose before deciding which side to install the handle.

Very impressed with this product. I bought this as it would take a very long hose. The only two slight issues were 1) the instructions are on the box and the detail could be a little clearer 2) Assembly does take some strength - I can see that some ladies would struggle assembling it. However I see this in a way as a good thing. Not from a sexist point of view as that statement infers, but once assembled it becomes very strong and sturdy. Assembly is all push fit therefore no tools required other than muscle power. You will find that it is a very well designed product. Italian design showing how good it can be.

Easy to put together if you are quite strong as the pieces click into place however I needed some help as I have arthritis.The product is sturdy and works very smoothly and I would recommend as the price is so competitive

Bought this hose pipe reel thinking it would be sturdy enough for our 50m hose it arrived on time, was fairly easy to put together, looked good but on the second use the handle came off, very disappointed not sure if I would recommend this to anyone else.

Very robust when assembled. Should last a long time. Easy to wheel around. Takes a good length of hose.NB.Clearer assembly instructions would be a benefit.A step is omitted from miniscule diagram.If you assemble it wrongly it is almost impossible to take apart to rectify error. Take care.

It took me perhaps half an hour to assemble it - but I'm a bit slow! It works fine - wheels and drum turn freely and easily. Its construction is very similar to my previous (25 year old) cart reel, so I expect this one will outlast me.

I have the 60m and now this 40m claber reel. They are just excellent for the money, knocking spots off of other hose reels for the money. I've had the 60m for 3 years and it is still like new.Very good mechanism, my wife used to struggle with other reels but this is no problems.Not sure why people found it hard to assemble, it's pretty straight forward.

Dévidoir en kit à monter, la qualité des matériaux est bonne, le plastique à l'air résistant, dans l'ensemble le dévidoir est plutôt qualitatif.

No entiendo a la gente que critica el producto por ser de mala calidad. A ver quien quiere un carro de alta gama que pague más del doble que este. A mi me ha parecido genial por el precio que tiene. Cumple su función perfectamente i cabe una manguera de 3/4 de 25 metros.En cuanto al montaje es sencillo y las instrucciones están en la caja en un lateral. Hay que fijarse que algunos tubos tiene un pequeño agujero que debe encajar en la parte de plástico para que quede firme.

Did not mention anywhere in the descriptions that you need to cut the hose so that it can connect. Beware of this product.Upon contacting the seller, they requested it that you ship it back to them overseas to HK.This is entirely unacceptable.
