HG deep clean and service

I’ve been trying to keep my washing machine clean using citric acid on a hot wash, but it clearly wasn’t doing the deep work required. My utility room had started to smell really "foisty" and damp, so I decided to try the HG Deep Clean and Service instead.The difference was night and day. Not only was the inside of the drum gleaming after one cycle, but the unpleasant smell in the utility room vanished instantly. What’s most impressive is the longevity. I’m now on week four, and there is absolutely no sign of the odour returning.If your machine is smelling a bit iffy and natural cleaners aren't cutting it, this is well worth the money. It’s a powerful, effective deep clean that actually lasts. I’ll definitely be using this as part of my regular maintenance from now on.

This cleaner has worked very well on our 8 year old washing machine. We had started to notice black flakes on our washing and realised it was gunk coming from the drum. One full bottle was emptied into the main drawer and we ran it on a 60° cycle as instructed. We could tell it had worked well as it dislodged a lot of black goo. I wiped it out and decided to run the second bottle through immediately after as we had never cleaned our machine with an intensive cleaner before. There are no musty smells and I haven't seen any black flakes since... Highly recommend.

My washing machine had developed an unpleasant whiff so after some internet research I’d thought I’d try a cleaning product. Wow, so much choice and the reviews were a mixed bag so I decided to give this a product a try based on previous positive experiences with the brand.The box arrived and contained two bottles of the cleaner - I missed this in the product description and was only expecting one, so chuffed.It was very to use, pour into the dispenser drawer, and run the machine on a hot wash - simples.The instructions also suggested wiping the seals after use as residue can gather.I checked the seal and was surprised by the amount of gunk - where had it all come from?Anyways, the problem of a whiffy machine seems to be solved thanks to this product and I still have a second bottle of the cleaner in case I need it.Overall this was a very positive experience, so easy to use and no silly high odour fragrances like some products that I read about (the strong lemon smell luring you in to a false sense of security - only for it to wear off and the whiff return).Try it yourself and share your review.

Excellent product had very smelly dishwasher had do it twice but worked very well.

Judging by some of the other reviews I have read on here there seems to be some confusion as to what the product is and what it can actually do. First and formost whether we're dealing with a dishwasher or washing machine the appliance must be in full working order. If this is not the case then the appliance must be repaired first, It may seem that I am stating the obvious here but subtle faults which don't really seem like faults such as late to fill with water on a dishwasher, no heat on iether appliance, or slow drainage on iether appliance. If using on a washing machine then I would remove and clean the filter first before using the HG service engineer for washing machines and dishwashers. Some washing machines have a self clean mode and if that's the case follow the manufacturer's instructions for correct use, but usually the self clean program is enough with out using any other cleaning products. In the case of a washing machine then we really want to slosh a lot of water around the inner tub and drain the machine properly taking all the crud with it, and in the case of a dishwasher we really want the water to properly circulate through out the system and properly drain away all so taking all the crud with it, this must happen on hot cycles and rince cycles on iether a dishwasher or washing machine. If iether appliance is working correctly then this is an excellent deep cleaner especially on a dishwasher, it is not a mirical cure for your appliance if there is an actual fault. It is more of a preventative cure than a cure once bad results begin to show. It might help in some of the situations mentioned above but it's very unlikely. Usually we would repair a customer's appliance then use this product to deep clean the machine afterwards. Hope this helps.

After one clean it smelled very chemically which was expected by it left some grime behind and we had to do a hot wash clean after as well. But it did what it says in the tin !

Really good product, sorts out all the gunk, cleans the machine superbly

Just moved into a new place and wanted to give the washing machine a proper clean. Used this HG cleaner and had to run it twice to get the job done. The first cycle loosened a lot of grime, but there was still some residue coming out afterward. Second time did the trick. The machine smells fresher now, but it wasn’t a one-and-done solution for a heavily used washer. Still, it works. Just be ready to repeat if it’s a deep clean you’re after.

Two uses as a trial for the dishwasher...works great but I can't figure out why one load dishwasher/automatic washer cleaner and disinfectant has a premium price tag? A dishwasher is Hardy a luxury any more that could garner a premium price.

Works well but contains very corrosive components. Be safety conscious when using and it will do the job and you won't have a problem.

Product worked great once I applied powerful leaf blower to clear the dw's recesses.

Don’t waste your money on this, easier to disconnect the hose In the back and clean it manually. Google a video on cleaning your washer pump while you’re at it. This product makes your washing machine smell nice for a few days and that’s it.
