For beginners
I find that if I use the exposure timing for -10 stops, images are over exposed. When I use timings for -8 stops the exposure is what it should be. Other than that, this is a nice quality filter, well packaged and a good price for people looking into the world of slow exposure photography.

An Excellent ND1000 Filter For The Price
For the current price of £38.99 for the 77mm size I consider this NEEWER ND1000 Filter too be a very good buy. It provides the user with a great variety of creative options for still and video photography. The build quality is very good at this price point with the outer ring being accurately threaded to enable it to be attached to a lens with minimal effort and easily removed. It also has some really useful grips machined into the outer surface to aid with that fitting and removal process. It arrived nicely presented in a small cardboard box protected by layer of film to prevent dust or moisture ingress. Inside the box is the filter inside a plastic protective case and an info sheet. The case has cut-outs in its insert to facilitate easy removal of the filter without getting finger marks on the glass. Using the filter is a delight as I could very easily extend my shutter duration to 30 seconds in bright daylight and achieve accurate focus with the camera in live view mode. I have attached a couple of images with this review which I deliberately took on a day when the scene was not particularly spectacular to demonstrate how using the filter added interest to those shots by keeping the shutter open for an extended period to achieve an atmospheric effect with the moving water. The Multi Resistant Nano Coated HD Optical Glass is great for making the filter scratch and oil resistant, I wont go into all technicalities as they are available in the product listing. In summary this filter works very well with no noticeable colour degradation at its outer edges or other kinds of image distortion. The overall image quality in my experience of using this filter is excellent and I have absolutely no hesitation in providing a five star review and recommending this filter as a very useful creative option.

Really Good Quality ND Filter
This neutral density filter arrives in a nice looking Neewer branded cardboard box, wrapped in a plastic film. The filter itself is well packed inside, in its own plastic protective case, along with a cleaning cloth. The box design is more than suitable should you be wishing to give this filter as a gift. The filter is well made and has a good finish to it. The 77mm thread screwed on and off lenses without any issues. The filter rim is about 3.5mm thick, and I didn’t experience any issues with vignetting on the lenses I tried it with.Being a Neutral Density filter, this filter is designed to limit the amount of light transmission through the lens. The rating of ND3.0 (also known as ND1000) means that this filter reduces the amount of light transmission by 10 stops. Being at the darker end of ND filters, its uses are more limited than others. However, it is still a useful filter to have and is especially handy if wanting to shoot in bright sunlight and needing to reduce light transmission. For example, in order to slow your shutter speed enough to blur the movement of water in waterfalls, or the movement of waves crashing against rocks. In use the optics were very good across the image, and I did not experience any discernable degradation in image quality. In conclusion, this is a well made filter from Neewer, with good optics, and at a very reasonable price.~ Amazon asked me to review this product and to give my honest opinion about it. That’s what I have set out to do, so I hope you found it helpful. ~

beautiful filter, high quality, fits perfetly
I like using daylight to shoot both videos and photos, if there is too much sunlight that makes it almost impossible to use a low F stop to maintain that depth of field and give the image/video more dimension so this filter is a really great option for that.It comes in a sturdy plastic case where you can store it while not using it or take it on the go (just in case) and have peace of mind that it won't get damaged, it also comes with a branded lint free cloth to clean the filter. The only downside is that it is a very dark filter so seeing the subject/object you are photographing becomes more difficult, but that is not really a fault of the product itself. It fits my canon lens perfectly and I can tell that it is very well built, I have some other NEEWER lighting related products I have bought in the past that have all been high quality for really great prices so I'm not surprised that I am also very impressed with this product! Highly recommend.

Great
This product comes well packaged in a branded box. Its also covered in film to protect the sense, also its in its own protective case. Comes with a cleaning cloth. Its well made and robust and has a good finishing to it. For the price, this is what I would expect. It hasn't failed to deliver. the thread screws on without any problems.Overall a fantastic product. It is 10 stops so its use is more limited but its definitely a great addition to the kit.

Consistent across lens, smooth thread & can accept the lens cap 👍
This lens could really only be good or bad ... and I have to say this is a great fixed level ND filter.Does exactly what it should do and does it well. The lens thread runs smooth and true, and although I can get in to fit on most of my lenses using expansion/reduction rings, this fits perfectly on one of my old, but favourite Canon 14-40 zoom lens with its 77mm diameter (using on a Sony A7R3).Provides consistent covering across the whole lens and frame and definitely gives 10 stops.Haven't tried it out in anger yet - planning a 'waterfall trip' soon though, but basic testing confirms consistent decrease of light, causing a decrease of shutter speed using a fixed Aperture and ISO.Also, the inner diameter accepts the lens cap and the lens cap stays securely on.Overall, at £38.99 (at the time of review - September 2022), I would say that is great good value for a decent 10 stop ND filter. An easy 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ imho.

Good motion blur, great monochrome!
I got the ND1000 for landscape and cloud scenes. I got the Neewer for the price. I have no issues with the image quality. This 10 stop filter is really effective with faster clouds or water and it is also good in morning and evening light. For the money, I can't believe what it does for monochrome images!
