Bought this to replace a different model that broke This is a very nicely made and well balanced kettle from Morphy Richards that sits nicely on the work top and has a nice stylish no nonsense design with a nice hand grip and not too weighty when full Overall it works well and boils fairly quickly maybe a little faster than my old one and seems to stay hot longer too my opinion is money well spent and I use it daily

I love this kettle. I chose the white one - which incidentally had a white lead, not a black one as shown in another reviewer's photo. So that's a bonus. It's beautiful to look at in white with a silver trim. It looks expensive - but isn't. It's very stylish and doesn't look plastic at all. It pours perfectly and itsn't noisy. It's just the right size - 1.5L. It did leave a smell of plastic when I boiled it out, which I did 3 times before I used it, but it certainly doesn't smell of plastic now - which is why you're advised to boil it first. I had to try 3 kettles before I was lucky enough to get this one - and they all had something wrong with them so I feel very lucky that I found this one. Fab.

Bought this to replace my shocking £7 Tesco kettle. SUCH a big improvement!! Looks expensive and flashy as well (this is something positive). Quite surprised I found a kettle from this brand for only £20!! I really don't care if it breaks, so far it's working fabulously and if it gets damaged - I will probably buy it again (comes with warranty tho).

Overall, I'm pleased with my new kettle. It's far lighter than my old steel one and looks smart. I use filtered water and cannot taste anything plastic or chemical in my teas. It pours without dribble or spill. Because it's black, it needs to be polished to maintain a smart clean look ( minus half star ). The only real issue I have with it is the water level gauge. Once the kettle has been boiled, the condensation inside the gauge near the handle makes it very difficult to read ( minus half star ). So I've put a tape marker next to the 0.5 litre level as there's usually only drinking tea. Overall, pleased.

Bought to replace the original one which failed only after it had been switched on with no water in it !! It was originally replaced with another brand which gave tea and coffee a metallic taste , so decided to search for an identical replacement, the tea and coffee now taste fine , it’s light , quick to boil , not too noisy , doesn’t feel excessively hot to touch when boiled , what else to say other than it was more expensive than the original , but so is everything else at the moment .

I love this kettle design is sophisticated, It doesn't leave a flavour in the water and is also fast boiling. Down side I do find it a little bit heavy however I would expect it to be stronger due to its weight as lighter ones are more flimsy. I find decent kettles are expensive but I am very happy with this buy :)

I really like this kettle. It's not too heavy and looks really stylish in my kitchen. I like the white light instead of the nasty blue light that is on most kettles. It's only just come out the box so I don't know how long it will last but it makes a hotter brew than my old kettle and boils quickly. It is quite loud.

It is a really good looking kettle, lightweight (5*) and easy to use (5*), a good shade of white too, not brilliant and not creamy. I would call it a warm white. Could only give 4* for durability, as we have only had it for a couple of months, so don't know how long it will last... hopefully a very long time, like our last kettle. Would recommend this make and style.
