The dummy is made of stereo-pore and is then covered with elastic fabric. It is very cheap so this is understandable. It will do the job for beginners. Later on you could invest a little bit more money in a dummy that will last a lot longer.

definitely a cheaper alternative to other dressmaking dummies out there - polystyrene body, wooden legs and top and a decent quality white fabric cover to go over the polystyrene. it was a little bit tricky to assemble the three legs and to screw them tight. it took two of us about 10-15 minutes to put the whole thing together. I've been using it the past week or so and when draping fabric the polystyrene does come apart and leaves 'bubbles' under the white cover which isn't very appealing. also when you have the white fabric cover over the polystyrene, the wooden top bit doesn't stay there and does fall off quite a lot. when pinning fabric to the dummy, the dummy does drop down and go lower so you have to keep pulling the dummy back up which does get annoying. overall, it is okay quality and is definitely cheaper and useful if you can't afford a proper mannequin. the shipping fee was a bit pricey I think at nearly £9. I would rate it 3/5.
