I have a daughter who is into decorating cakes. She loves it. I thought this would be a perfect thing for her. However, she got a scholarship to college for a few more years and realistically, she probably won't use it for quite a while. So.... *sneaky grin*HOW THIS COMESThese molds come in plastic bags.DETAILSThese molds have good detail to them.HOW I AM USING THESEI am using these for making unique frames from resin. I am dusting them with holographic powders and then filling with dark colored resin. I plan to put small paintings in them for gifts and memorabilia.DO THEY COME OUT EASILY?These come out of the molds so far easily.SIZEThey are pretty small, so you are talking about really small photos (wallet size and slightly bigger) but it is worth it if you plan to use them for small art projects. They can be used to put different things in later once given as a gift.THE BOTTOM LINEWhether for fondant, clay, or resin, these are great little frames to use for a variety of useful projects.MY RATINGFIVE STARS I have ALWAYS wanted to have holographic, chameleon, or duochrome frames. to coordinate with some of my coordinating watercolor paints. This allows me to have just that. I am very excited to have these and hope to share some photos with you when the sun comes out in like four months (we are on six weeks with no sun so far).

The color of the mold makes it so the light wont shine through the bottom so it takes forever to harden. Then its hard to tell if you've completely filled all the small crevices of the frame. They create bubbles and it is very tedious and time consuming to pop the bubbles. The detail is nice but the hassle isn't worth the time and if you miss even one spot its a waste of resin as well. Less detail with a colorless mold would be better resin is expensive so I now make sure all the molds I buy are colorless so I can cure from the top and the bottom.

I was surprised by how big these were. Perfect size for tall cakes or whatever you create. I ysed with fondant and chocolatr and both were easy to release with great detail. Love it
