Stitched Safari: 18 Adorable Animals to Make with Felt Paperback – 15 Jan. 2013

I bought this based on the five star reviews and it lives up to them. The projects are well designed and offer a quirky selection - a little different from what might be available as ready made toys; the front cover illustrates this and in some cases the animal has an adult and a baby version. The templates are fullsize and the instructions are beautifully clear and well-illustrated with photographs. A careful read through of the book left me feeling confident even though I am a novice. I plan to make them as presents.

What a brilliantly put together book this is. I've made most of the animals and they have been a joy to make. No matter if you are a beginner or more proficient, this book will be a joy. Some are only tiny, maybe a few inches tall, bad some are about 7 or so inches tall, but they make on impact. I just love the white goat and the elephant.

Has patterns included,has detailed instructions on how to construct each animal and how to do blanket stitch and which materials are needed to make each one. Lovely book.

there are so many ideas in this book. The patterns can be scaled up or down, and the directions are easy to follow.

I ordered a used copy and was prepared to wait for it. Two days later I got a brand new copy. Now that's what I call service! ! This is a beautiful book full of lifelike animals. The main plus point is the sheets of full size templates at the back of the book. I intend to transfer these to thick card to make them more durable.

Fabulous book!! I will sit and sew for hours, patterns are easy to follow and I love all the animals in this lovely book.

This is a really lovely book. It has full size patterns and easy to follow instructions. The main difficulty is choosing which animal to make first, I am hoping to sew them all.
