Lovely game for the family
Bought this after loving the book and wanting a game that our two year old could play alongside other children/ adults (there aren't many multi-player games for littlies). It's really nice. The illustrations are lovely over the box and board, the board seems really thick and good quality, and our little one really likes putting the playing pieces together. It's simple to play, but not dull, and there are nice touches like dice with clearly displayed numbers instead of dots and colour coded cards so that children who can't read yet can work out what card they've got (i.e. red for miss a turn and green for an extra go). The board and box are so nice that it would be great as a gift.

Looks good
As this game has been bought as a Christmas present I can’t say too much about it - it looks good and hopefully the grandchildren will love it!

Great for toddlers
Very simple board game, clearly with toddlers in mind when it was designed. The dice only use 1-3 and once you get to the bear, it is designed so that you’re very unlikely to lose at that point. A great first board game and my 3 yr old loves playing.

Quick and fun
Played with a 6&4 year old, both enjoyed it. Easy to play and not too long. The bear chase at the end adds to the excitement for little ones.

A beautiful basic board game.
This is a beautiful board game with lovely illustrations from the book of We're going on a bear hunt. My children (aged 2.5 and 5) enjoy playing with it and since receiving it at Christmas, we have played it numerous times. However, it is a very basic game which is ideal for the 2 year old who is just learning to play games, but I will not be surprised if the 5 year old bores of it soon. Basically, you have counters that move around the board. If you land on certain special squares then you get to take a card. If you get a green card, you get to have another throw of the dice. If you get the a red card, you do not! There are a lot more green cards, than there are red cards. The first one to reach the square with the bear, races the bear to the end. However, as the player gets to throw two dice and the bear gets to throw one, it is virtually impossible for the bear to catch up with you. My kids have not worked this out yet but it might take some of the excitement away from the game when they do.If you are looking for a good looking basic game, then I would recommend this game, especially if your child is a fan of the book. If you child is slightly older, this game might not be played for long.

Good game for younger children
My granddaughter wanted this game so I didn't check the age, it's quite a simple game and aimed at younger children but she's 7 and still enjoys it.

Good little game
Fun little game. Some strange rules for a game aimed at little ones. Never the less enjoyable and we've adapted the game/rules to suit our family.
