I use this baby gate to keep my Terrier dog at bay, this gate is very strong, metal design and fits just right at my front door, I have not secured to the wall….yet, but left standing in place keeps him inside but it is possible to knock it over, it blew down one day, if it was to keep a baby in it would need to be secured to the wall (brackets are provided) as it could land on the baby and it is made with solid painted steel rods.It’s good and strong and better than other light flimsy Barrie’s that I bought. You can get this in bigger longer (extensions) parts from the same supplier.Babies and Toddlers can be stronger than you think. Secure this gate to a wall on both sides and your babe is in a safer place.Cannot praise this enough

As we are presently making our house safe in anticipation of a visit from our 14 month old grandson, we were looking for a sturdy fireguard suitable for a wood burning stove. The BabyDan fits the bill perfectly. It fixes easily and securely to the wall and is solid in construction so there is no movement. I like that we can still access our stove via the gate which is built in to the fireguard. We considered various sizes before purchasing and chose one which maintains a good distance from the stove. The system is flexible and you can choose where and how you fit the different sized panels to suit your space. It is also possible to purchase extension sections. We struggled to find a radiator cover for a very long radiator in another room so we decided to buy a second BabyDan and you can see from the photo that it works perfectly, keeping toddler away from a very hot radiator. I can also continue to use my dryers on the radiator. The other good point about BabyDan is that there are videos which clearly demonstrate how to affix the fireguards, that can be accessed via the Onbox app. We have just used one of these to aid the installation of our third BabyDan purchase, a safety gate for the top of the stairs, another excellent product.

We already have one of these gates around our fireplace and it’s great. It is sturdy enough to have free standing if you want, the gate is great and the finish on it is lovely.We have a ‘floating’ set of stairs in the house leading upstairs, so having a conventional baby gate would not help as there is nothing to secure it to, so we decided to get one of these as we measured up and the XXL one would fit the bill.The box came open to start with, but I checked and all the bits were in the box.When my partner came home and we started to piece it together, he noticed when trying to secure the bracket to one of the walls that the panel was bowed. We got another panel and it was fine. Went to do the other side and it was bowed as well! Only slightly but it was enough to stop it sitting straight on the wall. We managed a work around, but I think this is something to do with how the items are stored at the warehouse. We’ve managed to make it work and it wouldn’t put us off buying another if we needed too, but just make sure you check all the panels as it might not work for some people.Apologies for the photos, it was hard to get the angle to show the bends.

I buy many items from various website but very rarely leave a review. I always read reviews before I buy an item so I felt I needed to write a review for this item.It works perfectly as a room divider to stop our puppy going into areas we are not ready for him to whilst toilet training. It was easy to put together by myself (plus 50 years old!) Fits in a straight line over 3meters and can be put into other shapes to fit/suit your room/areas. I have not fixed the wall brackets as I didn’t need to. It works perfectly for our situation. One of the best purchases I have made. It does the job.

Great fire guard. Large enough to go round for brace and bracket to the wall out of sight. Sturdy and aesthetically pleasing. Definitely recommend to keep precious little kids safe from burns

I purchased this gate in size "Large" to go around my log burner to stop my children going near. To Start with it didn't arrive until 3 days after "expected delivery date", but this wasn't too much of a problem for me, just a little annoyance. When I received the guard the box was open at the top. Whether that was from customs (was being delivered from Germany) or not I'm not sure but it was originally stapled shut so I would think it would have to have been opened deliberately.On opening the box everything was packaged nicely and although the instructions were a bit confusing at first, it was relatively easy to assemble. I guess it's easy for me to say that as my husband assembled it, and he did say that a picture of how it went together would have just been easier!The guard itself is great. it's slightly taller than a normal stair gate but not by much. it's easy for an adult to open and I'm hoping my 3 year old (who has mastered all of our stair gates) does not figure this one out!Make sure you have a drill handy as you do need to screw it to the wall. It can seem a little slack when in place but we pulled it quite hard and there is no way our kids could pull that down.It looks great as well as being functional.I would definitely recommend this product.
