Poor sound quality
Love the workout, Billy is so motivational and explains the moves in great detail which is great. I would definitely recommend the workouts for a real burn! Even the tutorial will leave your muscles feeling engaged, however the sound quality is not that great so unless the volume is way up its hard to catch everything Billy is saying (&the constant clapping & ' yeys' from the other instructors is a bit off putting as it drowns out the voice I'm actually trying to listen to! ) That said I still do this one everyday and feel stretched and worked!

I just bought this DVD and finished the Tae Bo exercise programme tonight, and I must say that I am REALLY HAPPY with the results!!! Coming from a background of athletics (track and field) I wanted something pretty challenging, which would allow me to push myself hard, and focus on the exercises straight away, more or less. This was EXACTLY what I was looking for.Pretty simple, but hard, and there is always room for more intensity. You can always improve. And that's what I love about it as well. You can easily adjust the level of intensity according to your own body. I would imagine this would suit almost everyone, at any level.The whole fitness concept of Tae Bo is fantastic, as it is so comprehensive, yet so simple. It manages to combine all different aspects of fitness (strenght, coordination, cardio) in a very efficient way. I'm sure I will stick to this routine in the future!Also, Billy Blanks is the BEST instructor I've ever seen. Extremely fit, competent, professional, and very charismatic! He is GREAT for motivation. I also love the people he has picked for this DVD. They are all pretty good in their own ways, and it shows you how versatile Tae Bo is as an excercise programme. It's really for everyone, I think. I am also very pleased with the fact that they mainly put the technically best instructors to the front, so that it is easier to follow the excerices. Also, they have picked the right place for the whole thing. The visual aspect is very good. It's easy to get a picture of what everyone is doing.I have no bad comments at all about this DVD. I think it totally rocks! :) And Billy Blanks is a TRUE STAR within his field!If you want a serious and not very time-consuming work-out, this is a great choice for you. But of course, if you hate boxing it might not be the option for you. :)

Very a very fun workout!!!!
I bought this dvd after reading the other reviews on this site, & after hearing a lot about Tae Bo. I was a little worried about trying the Tae Bo dvd's as it always looked very hard, the sort of thing only the very fit would go form. I tried it and I have to say its brill!!! If you want a fun / toughish workout then this is the one I recommend. And if, like me, you enjoy kicking and punching - then this is definately the one!!The Tae Bo Energize dvd is split into seperate sections.Introduction Section: Billy Banks shows you the moves very slowly& explains everything.Beginners Workout: The beginners workout is quite energetic and he literally launches right into the routine. There's lots of kicking and punching (very good fun). This workout last's roughly 30 - 35 mins.Experienced Workout (I don't think it's actually called that, but I can't remember the wording!!). This is similar to the Beginners workout routine, but it last for an hour.8 minute workout: There's an 8 min workout on the dvd too, which is fun. It says 8 mins, but it actually last for 15 mins.I have to agree that this is a very cheesy dvd. It does remind me of the 80's power workouts. There are alot of people doing the exercises in the background & they all count along with the Billy Banks the instructor. There is also an annoying blond woman who keeps shouting out and counting down. But if you try and ignore her, it's enjoyable and if you're trying to loose weight or get fit this will burn a ton of calories.Just on a seperate note. I really like the 'Walk Aerobics with Leslie Sansone' series too. Especially the 4 mile dvd. Just another recommendation snuck into this one.

FANTASTIC!!
I had piled on the weight after having my son and after about 7 months of going to the gym and on and off dieting I had lost a measily 5lb. So I decided to go in search of a work out video which I could do in the comfort of my own home with the added benefit of not paying to use gym equipment.After a few hours of searching I stumbled across this DVD and decided to give it a go. After the 1st workout I could really feel a difference, I particularly liked the fact that I ached the following day which meant I'd had a good enough workout.I continued to do the basic routine every day for about 2 months and lost 10lb!!I then decided I would try the advanced routine. I found this one a lot harder at 1st as it involved a lot of floor work on the abs but soon got the hang of it.Ive now being doing this advanced routine every day for about 4-5 months and I have lost a further stone!I now feel confident to wear my bikini on holidays again and its all thanks to this video. Theres no stopping me now. I may get my pre pregnancy figure back sooner than I thought. BUY IT!!!!

Dissapointing
I have to say, after reading the reviews on this video I was very excited to recieve this DVD, only to be deeply dissapointed. Firtstly the music is terrible, it does not motivate you at all! Secondly the lady in the DVD who is counting down all the time,is so irritating you just feel like you want to turn the sound down. ALso Billy does not do the same sequence on each side of the body, which is just unprofessional and again annoying.All in all a complete let down and have to say one of the worst fitness DVD's I have ever purchaed. What a complete hype the reviews are!
