I do think it increases the likely hood of a tan though I only uses it once so far. However, it's oil so therefore leaves you very oil and if you are wearing satin is likely to damage it. Also, no one has yet mentioned that this product features carrot oil, you may know that carrot oil has some negative research in regard to the skin and useven of it for tanning therefore when I used the same cream for my face as I forgot my face cream it started uncomfortably tingling my face skin. Do not put this product on your face! My conclusion is that this product is perfect for areas like legs that require more tanning. I have decided to use normal cream for my body and face and this one for legs. I'm already a wee bit tan so it takes a lot for me to get a healthy glow. The next day I decided to try this and I turned read ! I nearly burned. This never happens to me . It's been a little over a week and I have not peeled so that's a plus. Anyway if I almost burned why am I giving this 5 stars because it did what it said it would do...give me super soft skin and a tan ...added bonus no peeling ! Just be careful. Don't stay out too long in the sun, wash it off after an hour. If you are fair skinned I would do 15 min at a time.
