Excellent for other uses too.
My birdbath was always getting very dirty and being a stone type, the top was detachable, but extremely heavy to keep lifting and placing back every time I gave it a good scrub. I thought I would try using a plant pot saucer instead of the stone top and this fit the bill perfectly. I ordered the taupe colour (29cm) as I thought it might go with the stone better than the other colours and I was right. Having to purchase a minimum of four wasn’t a problem, as I can remove it from the stand and replace it with another one whilst giving the old one a good cleanse. These are very thick and sturdy and should stay put on my birdbath stand. I have also put a large stone in the centre for a bit of stability, just in case one of the larger birds try to tip it over. I’m sure these will last a long time for a very reasonable price. They are a little deeper than some saucers and hold a decent amount of water for the birds to have a nice bath.
