SP GadgetDive Buoy for Action cameras, 53005

Bought this to protect my GoPro when filming on a 2 week holiday. Was going to use it diving but didn't get the chance but in all other situations, it worked very well. The fact that it floats gives the extra security that you are not going to lose your camera in the ocean. I was also pleased that the clamp was sturdy enough to keep the camera in position even when swimming with it as some of the others I had do not.

Great quality, much better than the cheaper options out there. This is a real nice float handle that sits nice in the hands. It feels really strong and gives the feeling of something you can trust to stay in one peace and not fall apart or snap due to poor quality production. Rubber grip is great and feels strong and screw cap in the bottom or the grip gives a real nice water tight seal.

Works great, able to fit in the pocket of my BCD when not using it, though sometimes opening the handle when it is filled with water after a dive can be a bit difficult.

It seems fine but it's really just a lightweight plastic handle and I expected the grip to be rubber, rather than a foam type material. I chose the SP version over the many cheap copies thinking I'd rather attach my GoPro to a branded item than something cheap and nasty. This will do the job as intended I'm sure but overall I'm not impressed. £20 is expensive for what you get.

Although slightly expensive, the mouldings are accurate and the wrist strap far more secure than most. The orange end cap is relatively dull, but a standard pattern. So I swapped it for a bright yellow cap from an unsatisfactory cheap copy that I had. Quite pleased with this floaty grip.

Just great for those hand held shots when dinghy sailing. Floats well, but I took the belt and braces approach and used this with a floaty back as well as it is a big orange block which is much easier to see in the water.
