Super fast food. No Chef required.
A very nice and easy to follow book. I have given up eating meat and poultry. So this book is an excellent guide, to eating healthy meals, that provide most of the vitamins and minerals, that a vegetarians and pescaterians need. I became vegetarian years ago and wasn't as well informed about extra supplements then. After six years l became very anemic and l remember the Doctor screening at me. "Get some red meat down you girl". We are better informed these days and the risks are minimal. Providing that you take extra iron. Whether it be supplement or food, In some form. The recipes are easy to follow. Different and tasty. You can adjust the meals to your own taste. I also like the fact the writer is mostly about health, than being a 'stage chef'. Worth a look, if you like nourishing meals with a twist. A good purchase.

Health AND tasty food. Win, win!
Needed to go dairy free and meat free on health grounds and limit my intake of gluten. I struggled to find recipes that I actually liked the taste of. In this book, I have found them. Every recipe I have tried has been super tasty and this doesn't feel like "healthy eating" - just really good tasty food that happens to be very healthy. There are "diet" plans you can follow to ensure a balanced diet but there are many more recipes in the book than are included in the meal plans. Jason gives you lots of nutritional advice at the start of the book that helps you in deciding what to eat. Its not all vegetarian - there are quite a few fish recipes which is great as I am supposed to eat fish a few times a week. The recipe for salmon with sweet potato mash was excellent - who would have thought sweet potato with garlic and Parmesan would taste so good. Recipes also contain adaptations if you are vegan. The best bit about this way of eating is that I haven't felt hungry and nor have I had the usual headaches and sluggishness that you can often get when you cut out sugar. I didn't have high hopes when I bought this but it really will revolutionise the way I eat. Thankyou Jason!

I like cook books that don't say ' using the liquid ...
I like cook books that don't say ' using the liquid smoke ' or ' after marinating the beans for 72 hours ..'. This book is what it says, full of fast healthy foods that taste great. I have hundreds of cook books but am currently using this loads and loving it. I love Jason's book on stopping drinking and this is now my second favourite of his. I'd buy this again for friends , so highly recommended it . All easy things ( that non cooks can do ) and everyone will eat !

He is well known for his juicing and smoothies recipes for better health but this is his first book on food recipes, it's quite a varied selection of recipes without having to have chef skills!

Fresh recipes
Bought this Jason Vale book as I had bought and enjoyed his other books, albeit with a different theme. Love the quality of the paper, the marvellous photographs and the idea of having the photograph on one side and the recipe facing it. This isn't a revolutionary book but one which I started using immediately. Full of fresh recipes, ( important for someone like me who has cooked for years), which can be made easily and suitable for every day eating or eating with friends.

Healthy eating made easy!
Fantastic recipes, easy to cook and healthy as well. My wife and I have been working through this one since it came out and have discovered some new favourites! We were surprised that some of the vegetarian recipes taste as good as they do, and there are some brilliant fish dishes in here as well. Fingers crossed for a follow up book!

Just the job for the needs of the moment.
An excellent product - well laid out and easy to follow - fun - no swank or impossible-to-find ingredients. Jason Vale, you and your team are a gift - I shall have no difficulty following these - be back soon to let you know how I got on with your recipes. I also purchased your "Freedom from the Diet Trap - Slim for Life!" - a revelation, to say the least.

Good - but not perfect
The recipes I've tried have been delicious - sometimes. I'm frustrated by the lack of accuracy in the ingredient listings. For example "one red chilli". The first time I made the chillI bean chillI it was amazing; so good I pursuaded my (carnivore) husband to try it, convinced he'd be a complete convert. The first time I made it the red chillI must have been spot on size-wise. But chillis come in different sizes and yes, the second time I made it it blew our heads off and vindicated my husband's dismissal of my 'weirdo' diet. Lesson: put the chillI in a little at a time - but a weight would help. I'm also very nervous at the lack of any nutritional information; what three dishes can I combine in one day, how can I keep carbs low if I want to, what if I need to count calories...etc, etc? I've eaten exclusively from these recipes for three weeks and not lost an ounce. I think I need to reduce daily calorie intake but I've no way of keeping track of how many I'm consuming.

Updated on 8/25/18: Downloaded the updated Kindle version and am happy to say it's readable and contains many of the beautiful images from the previous version. Thanks for the update! Earlier review: I love all of Jason's books--he makes making healthy juices, smoothies, and meals fun and his recipes are fantastic. This looks like it would be a wonderful addition to my book and app collection, the photos are beautiful but I bought the Kindle version and the book is illegible. It appears that the conversion process didn't convert the font and the words are all jumbled on top of each other. Please fix this-I would love to read this in my Kindle app. Thank you!

I just received this and I have to say it is the BEST cookbook I have every purchased. The content of the recipes is outstanding and the format of the book is so easy to follow. It is FILLED with color pictures of the foods and each one looks more appetizing than the page before. Wow.I can't wait to make every thing in it. I also have the AP on my phone and it is fantastic too. I was so pleased with the AP that I wanted the book too. It is more expensive than your average cook book but is worth every penny! if you want to prepare healthy, super delicious meals don't hesitate to get this book and the AP too!

After finishing the Super Juice Me 28-day program, I was a bit nervous about eating again. Our first meal after juicing came from this book and everyone after for the past month. I've never cooked in my life, but these recipes are so easy and so delicious I feel like a chef! I'm extremely impressed with how good healthy can taste. Kudos to Jason for changing my life!
