An enjoyable but challenging puzzle
This puzzle produces an epic model of part of Hogwarts castle. It includes the great hall, courtyard, lawns and large towers. We enjoyed the puzzle, but it was a serious challenge even for adults. The main difficulty is that many of the pieces have very similar patterns and colours. It takes a serious amount of effort to sort them and find the correct places, mostly by trial and error. Some of the tower pieces appeared to be in the perfect place, but had to be moved around when other parts would not fit. Building the 3D element was a also fiddly as there are many components that need to be carefully slotted into place without dislodging other walls. Overall it took us many hours to complete and the resulting model takes up quite a lot of space. We enjoyed it, but it's not the best starter puzzle in this series and I'm not sure I want to buy the other castle puzzles either. The Wrebbit pieces are foam backed with good quality printing. The puzzle comes in a sturdy box, with an assembly guide if you need it. You begin by making all the flat floor and wall pieces in the traditional jigsaw style, then you slot them all together into a 3D building. After assembly you can still see some of the edges where parts go together at angles, but they stay in place and it looks fine. We have bought several in the range and have not had any missing pieces. A couple of minor comments are the boxes are difficult to get into without tearing the tabs and you have to remove lots of tiny offcut pieces before beginning. Don't throw any away until you've completed the puzzle, just in case one is actually a real piece!

Complicated but good fun for those with patience.
Santa kindly left this for my 10 year old daughter at Christmas as he knew she was a fan of 3D puzzles. When she got it out of the box she had a moment of panic, insisting she’d never do it as it does look completely overwhelming at first glance! Previous puzzles she’d completed had been the plastic, numbered ones and Santa obviously just assumed this would be the same 🤷♀️🎅🏼Anyway, I sat and calmed her and helped get her started and she’s really enjoying it. 😍 It’s going to take a bit of time as the walls and roof all look the same, but she does a bit more everyday and has already said she’d like the Astronomy tower to add to it after!

Fun for a 3D puzzle first-timer if you're used to 1000 pieces regularly but requires some bending to fix sections together
I am a fan of Harry Potter and enjoy a puzzle over Christmas so this purchase seemed logical. I've never done a 3D puzzle before so did not know what to expect. There is sufficient detail in the design to make it seem like you are seeing into unknown corners of Hogwarts (I have visited Leavesden so seen a replica of the model used for the movies). The puzzle is foam however so the pieces can get bent easily which is bad for the tops of peaked walls or roofs. I also discovered that once you start putting sections together, it is impossible to interlock everything without bending so there is a lot of time fiddling on the outside and on the inside to get building sections back into shape after fixing something in. Objects which stick out , like chimneys, have bent too. It's good fun but i don't get why this is so much more expensive than a 2D puzzle with more pieces. I certainly won't be buying one every year, but I will consider buying the other part of Hogwarts in 2020.

Brilliant
I've got both jigsaws in this range so am able to build a fantastic full model of Hogwarts. You really need to get them both if you are a die hard fan. No point in being unfulfilled. They are excellent 3D jigsaws. Great colouring and fit together well. They cover a large area and there you have the downside. Where to keep it because you know dismantling it will cause any HP fan great distress. Maybe a temporary shrinking spell would work.....where's my wand!

Half of Hogwarts
This was a present for my daughter after she had the first half of hogwarts for her birthday. This kept all of us busy and entertained. It’s not an easy puzzle at all. We’ve kept it made up in her room so it’s probably fair to say this is a make once item. Her friends are all wowed by it.We make all the pieces on the dining room table and the lay them out in the order on the assembly sheet.TOP HINT - if stuck remember the edges of each section have regular spaced tabs and you can always look at the assembly sheet to check you have all the right pieces.Next purchase Diagonal Alley

No Instructions
Brought as a present for my girlfriend she loved it however There were no instructions in the box and no where on the box did it say they were available online so we spent 9 hours in total trying to assemble the puzzleThe box was delivered and the outer packet was OK then for my Girlfriend to open it and find the actual product box was battered

Great puzzle
Looks great once built, got the 2 part and joined them. Takes a bit of time it's really challenging since all the pieces and the are just poured into the box together as well as the 1000 pieces that you don't use, so had to separate them out. Only problem I've got is there was 2 pieces missing when finished
