Very strong looks great
Great looking net which I am going to use over my pond to stop all these pesky leaves dropping into the water!! Can still see the fishes through it but happy to know they are now safe.

If you have a lot of leaves falling in your pond I recommend trying this
I have a long T-shaped water feature and during the autumn months I get leaves from several trees falling into the water. It’s a constant battle to scoop the leaves out of the water to avoid the pump getting clogged up with leaves. I couldn’t find a net to fit so I ordered this size and a smaller 3m x 4m to overlap. I had read other reviews that there are not enough pegs and as my water feature is 11m long I ordered a set of metal tent pegs. Two people were needed for this task and I was very glad I had the extra tent pegs and used all 20 (I could have used more and ordered one more set for next year). I also used several bricks around to weigh down the net. It’s been several months now and it has saved me a lot of work! I was able to scoop the leaves off the top of the net with a leaf net which was much easier as the water feature contains rocks and leaves tend to get stuck in and around them. The pump has not been clogged with leaves and kept working. The quality of the net is good and still intact. I will take the net off when spring approaches and will probably place it back down in September this year (left it a bit late last year at the end of October). I really highly recommend anyone who has lots of leaves falling into their water feature to try this!

Good but sags
I purchased this to replace some green, thin, nylon pond cover net I had.I did my research and found Hozelock net had the smallest holes of all the nets, so was good for stopping leaves and other debris. You can feel the quality of this netting. It’s robust and well made. The holes are definitely smaller than on the green nylon net. However, it’s not as light in weight, so tends to sag in the middle of the pond.I have my net about 6 inches above the surface of the pond. But when it rains, the net absorbs the wet and although it’s stretched tight, it still sags further. My net ended up laying on the water, which was not ideal.I’m going back to the thinner, green nylon net.

Very good value.
Replacement for existing net from the same supplier. Only replaced as old net damaged by reeds growing through it. Good quality at a reasonable price. Good protection against birds trying to get to the fish and looks tidy when in place.

Strong, Effective and easy to place
I have an 8' x 6' pond with stone and slab edging, so I needed the additional size of the 4 x 3 metre to cover everything effectively. I used 4 - 3" x 2" battens with the net lightly tacked to the tops and rested them on the edges - spacing them equally over the pond widthThe additional netting at all sides, I weighed down with stones and it all works like a dream! The netting is a lot stronger than I thought it would be and even through a couple of gales, it is holding up really well, catching everythingI can reach under the edges with no problem to clear out the last of the water lily leaves and it's made the maintenace a lot easier for the winter - yet to come! An excellent product all round

Shame about the pegs
The fitting of the pond cover net was hindered by the pegs supplied (six in total) The first peg broke as I tried to put it into the ground. I took much more care with the second peg and managed to get it into the ground however the top that sits above the netting broke in half, the plastic being very brittle. This rendered the peg useless. I gave up on the pegs supplied and have pinned the netting in place with some large stones. This is not ideal but will do until I can source some better pegs. It was easy to cut the netting to the desired length and as the pond is small there is enough left over to replace the one in situ if it gets damaged.

Works very well
The dark colour makes it less visible for us and stops birds stealing food we put out for the fish and attack from predators. Ample size and reasonable quality. We used elastic threaded round the edges to put it round stones at teh pond edge. This allowed all the frogs and toads easy access with protection from bird air attacks. Flying insects find it a little confusing but do manage after a little effort to get in and out. We hadn't thought of these possible problems, but if a gap can be left all round the pond surface then all smaller wildlife can still enjoy the pond. We have a bird bath which keeps big and small birds very happy. It seems to be little affected by wind, which was another concern.

Nettyness
Good quality netting which covers our pond and keeps leaves and herons away. The pegs are next to useless but we expected that and have built a frame for it anyway. Much easier to keep clean and remove to perform pond maintenance too. Don't try and stretch the net though because it will distort quite badly, and this lack of stretch means you have to get the tension just so or the net either deforms or sags. So one star gone. Catches all but the smallest leaves but still allows fish food and light for the floating plants through.

When I opened the package I thought what a cheap piece of garbage. It came with pegs to put in and stretch over the pond. Well, the pegs are very soft plastic and bend easily. You cannot get them into the ground. Plus, when it rains heavy, the pegs simply pull out.I didn't want to start over with this project, so I came up with a simple way to spread the net over the pond. I took 3 2x4"s 8 feet long. I used cap nails, the kind you use to put on roofing felt, and nailed the fabric on the two ends. I then laid the 2x4's on each side of the pond. I rolled the 2x4's once so that the netting was nicely pulling on the board, not the nails. Once I got the 2 ends installed, I took the third 2x4 and slipped it under the center of the net to support it. So far it is working great. It has not torn and had captured all the leaves so far. You do need to dump the leaves off occasionally otherwise it will slump into the water. Easy to do, just take out the centerboard, then take one of the end boards and lift it over the pond and dump the leaves. Cheap, may only last a year, but for the price I am satisfied.
