I have long been a fan of lights in the garden, with several low voltage ones in and around the flower beds and trees. I had at one time enthusiasticlly wrapped a tree with a string of lights, only to watch over a few years the gradual loss of lights as the tree grew, stretching and ultimately breaking the wires. When a mere handfull remained working I thought it wise to replace them, but found it difficult to locate low voltage strings of lights at a sensible price; the market preferring instead to offer the solar powered variety.The amount of light emitted from solar powered garden lights has always been something of a joke in my opinion, particularly when compared to its low voltage counterpart, but my search for a replacement string was also being hampered by the high cost of those on offer.Much against my better judgement I had to make my choice from the solar powered ones, and very soon became aware of the amount of people singing the praises of the SolarBrite make, so I started to take a greater interest in them. I finally threw the towel in and purchased a set of 120 white LED lights, which once again adorn a tree (have merely draped them this time!) - and I now have to join the other 5 star reviewers of this product and echo their sentiments. These lights are bright, come on at dusk and remain lit well past 3am in the morning - they may well last longer, but haven't been up that late! I just hope they perform as well in the coming winter months.

I must write a review for this, to warn people, who want to weave this into things that they trim back at times, that it is easy to cut through. Not easy to see the green covered wire, which is the point of the covering! Mine is much shorter and brighter nowadays, but still have a second that functions as per out of the box! At first, I was a bit disappointed as mine did not run for long into the winter evenings, but as soon as the days lengthened in Feb/March, I was more than happy. (Now have blackout curtain linings!) Really delighted with the twinkling in the breeze where I have weaved the string of lights between the shoots of my climbers (except for the above!!) They do not actually throw much light (though not designed as floodlighting!) but are nicely visible.Always gives me a thrill to look at them as I close the curtains!

Brought Solar lights from this seller before so didnt hesitate to buy from them again. My garden is a glow at night with various solar lights, initially to help my blind dog find her way back to the house of a night (she can see light and dark) but the gentle glow is very beautiful and the selection of lights expanse. I wanted a small LED chain of lights to weave through a bush and trellace that I am training it to climb up. The long lead to the first light allowed me to position the solar panel perfectly to catch as much light as possible. It comes with a ground spike and a wall bracket so you can decide the best positioning for you, I have screwed the bracket to the wooden posts on my fence and place the panel ontop. The small LED white bulbs have a pure bright but gentle light so suit the name fairy lights very well. They come on at dusk and are quite often still on when our local fox wakes me at 3am even though it has been overcast and dull since I have brought them.Very pleased with the purchase and the service from the seller... if I can find a dark corner in my garden I will get some more... wonder if they'd look good on the shed....

Bought these to put of a tree we have outside at christmas as there is no way of getting electricity to the right place. I have a Powerbeed set from a few years back but the tree has grown so I needed more lights. I had been dissappointed as they need a good shake each evening to get going and then pnly lasted 1/2 hour or so. This weekend I took the back off only to find standard rechargeable AA batteries inside so popped in some I'd had on charge indoors - wow, now they come on and are bright, wonderful. I switch them off when we go to bed so not sure how long they would last if left, but certainly they have been on for 5-6 hours the last 2 nights#I don't think you can really expect solar power to work in the winter without a bit of help
