BostikHard Plastics Clear Glue, Ultra Strong, Quick Drying, 20ml

I purchased this adhesive to have just one last go at repairing a crack in my fridge salad drawer. I have repaired it several times before using different products but the repairs have only lasted a short while. Recently the last repair started to fail and the crack further extended into several smaller cracks to one side of the draw handle, to the point I thought the handle may break away completely. I prepared to use the Bostick hard plastic adhesive by removing all of the old adhesive and drilling small holes at the end of each crack to remove the stress razor, I then scraped a shallow "V" along each crack lines and gave the crack a final clean with an alcohol wipe and placed some masking tape on the reverse side of the crack to prevent the adhesive running through. I then applied the adhesive into the "V" groove creating a small mounded run line and left it for gravity and capillary action to draw the adhesive into the crack. After 24hrs of drying the results were excellent the repair is much more rigid than it has been previously, almost as if the crack has been re-amalgamated or fused back together. I have been using the drawer back in my fridge for a couple of weeks now and the repair remains solid and stable. This is an excellent adhesive which I definitely recommend.

This stuff works well on things you need to adjust the position of before it sticks hard. In cases where the instant grab of super glue isn’t desirable, the slow grab of this is very handy. You may need to support the glued items until the glue goes hard then, leave 12 hours for it to fully cure. I’ve been using it to glue parts to Scalextric type cars and it’s proved itself to be an excellent addition to my “team” of adhesives. This tube is my second.It is quite thick. Can squeeze out of the joins if you spread it too thick. A thin layer on each surface to be stuck is best. Once fully hardened it makes a very durable join. I’m very pleased with the results I’ve been getting.

It was purchased to repair the broken plastic base on a 10 litre water pump once glued together & stableised with tape for 24 hours it was fine the next day

Sets quick enough to be quite convenient but not so quick that you don't get time to get your positioning right. The one downside is that when you pull the tube away from drop of glue it remains attached to the tube and stretches out quite a bit. However, once you get the hang of it then it's easy to work around, certainly better than something that's too runny.

I used this to glue a part of my fridge that snapped off. It was part of a load baring shelf and it is still going strong.

Are use this to mend a crack in a freezer drawer. If the crack had gone any further the drawer would’ve split. I have no idea how to get a replacement drawer so the glue seemed essential. It is holding up well so far. it has been about a week.
