Has anyone purchased the evenup shoe balancer for the other foot, was it necessary?

I LOVE the even-up. It has the best number of options for finding the correct height and is very sturdy. I do not know how I would manage without this item and would replace it in a heartbeat if I needed another one. I even use it on my house slipper for use when I am at home wearing the boot on the other foot. I have no idea how anyone can manage without one of these unless you spend most of your time walking very little. I live in a city where we walk everywhere and use public transportation. And if you are dealing with wearing an ortho boot, you absolutely need to be as level as possible when walking as you are already a bit unstable from the foot injury/surgery, etc. One needn't be dealing with being off-balance any more than necessary. Falling is not an option in this condition, for sure!

Mid calf, like nine inches above the inner ankle

Would this walker be good for post metatarsal surgery?

Yes, because I broke my metatarsal bones also and used the boot for recovery. It took me about six months because ligaments and tendons were involved, but it relieves the pressure on your foot. You will love it because you can still get around.

Comfy, but too big

Very nice product, although very expensive. It's comfortable, but unfortunately the sizing is a bit off so it's unusable for me as my foot slides around.

The concept of this boot is excellent but I am now on my 4th as the pump mechanism failed after a week or so on 2 of the boots and came broken on the 3rd. My current boot already has air escaping from the 'balloon' so I am unsure how long it will go on - I've had it for 2 weeks!
