Golds Gym SureLock Dumbbell Handle

Nice quality dumbell bars. About 360mm (14") long, and give about 80mm of useable space for weights on each end (with the Surelocks flush with the end of the bar) so can typically take 3 mid size discs each end (say 2.5 or 5kg). Weigh about 1.9Kg (1918g according to my scales) for bar + 2 locks. I started buying these after experiencing por quality on the York Screwlock ones and feel these are much better made (the screwlocks on my recently purchased York ones were a very loose fit to the point where one would fall off the end of the bar).

What a rip off, the gyms close for lock-down and what was £25 becomes £65 - don't get ripped off wait for the price to fall. The dumbells are nice but have a habit of working lose after a few reps, annoying but otherwise ok definitely not worth £65. Use CamelCamelCamel so you can see the price trend.

Overall a very good product. Extremely easy to change weights and takes no time at all. Only donwfall is that the rings sometimes slips and cause the weights to juggle about but this has happened maybe 5 or 6 times in the 8 weeks i've had them so not a big deal.

These were bought as one of the cheaper options available for a spare set of weights. The bars themselves are solid as you would expect. The grips however are very harsh and you wouldn't want to use these long without gloves. Also the screw fixings tend to work themselves loose between sessions so need tightening before use. I tend to only remember this after starting my first set however, which can be a slight annoyance.

These are my favourite spinlock dumbbells so far, the locking screws are really nice compared with the regular flower shaped ones that you usually get. Ended up buying a second pair as I liked these so much.

They are forever twisting off. Gone back to the old alum key variety before I do myself an injury.

Excellent quality dumbell handles! I already have a set that are 20 years old and I'm sure these will last as long! I will be buying a third set soon, as it saves time and is useful for drop sets and golds are the ones I'll be purchasing.

The bars arrived the following day due to Amazon Prime delivery, they are also longer than my York bars which is a bonus. The spin locks could do with some form of washer to keep the weight in place, overall it is a brilliant product. 5 Stars
