What the what?!?
The Dancing Girls“Jo pulled together the victims’ pictures. In all cases their arms were askew, in a way that looked like—what? It was like they were freeze-framed in the middle of some action. It was like they were dancing.”This book was a SERIOUS roller coaster!!! Like a serious roller coaster. This book was a tad disturbing as well, so if you get grossed out easily, this may not be the book for you. I really enjoyed the storyline and the twist was something I NEVER EVER EVER saw coming, in any shape, way, or form.Once again, another review, where it freaks me out that there are actually people in this world that probably commit murders like this!! AHHH!So, the story starts off with a woman named Jeannine, being murdered in a hotel room, strangled and lay like a dancer, and her wedding ring was taken. Detective Jo is on the case trying to piece together the mystery with barely any clues. Another female, Emily gets strangled in a hotel months later, and again her wedding ring is taken. Both of these females were in a relationship with someone over World of Warcraft and both of these women were married. Basically, our guy Martin thinks he has to rid the world of cheating wives to make the world a better place....okay buddy. It took a while for the Detective and her crew to find some missing pieces of the puzzle and were able to link the possible “affairs” through World of Warcraft. A woman named Diana is his next supposed target, but she is nothing like his usual victims and it turns him on even more, with the thought of her killing. Then, BAM, the unexpected happens!!!! You will never guess this ending. The only issue I had with this book, which doesn’t reflect on my review because this is a me problem, not the author or storylines problem. I had literally NO idea what any of the World of Warcraft talk was. I’ve never played and had a hard time following what the heck was happening in the game haha I’m more of a reader than a gamer. Other than that, this book was definitely a different and interesting read from me! Check it out!

Very twisty ending! Loved it!
At first, I thought the book was dragging a bit and not that much was going on other than how the Killer was going to trap these women and kill them. We learned all about his thought processes, the cities he was going to meet them at, and the seduction without sexual assault. But the ending was great!! Twisted, turned around, not expected, satisfying, and then dropped as it got really good!! I checked book 2 but it has a different plot line. I wanted this story to go on. Bummer. That's why I gave 4 stars instead of 5.

Loved it, but hated the ending
This was a great book. I loved the characters, descriptions, settings, dialog, and most important, the story - 5 stars for all this. The only complaint I have is the ending. All of a sudden it just ended. It felt *so* jarring that at first I didn't believe it was the end. Then, when I realized that it had ended, I decided that I hated the book. However, on second thought, I decided I really did enjoy it even though the ending was the way it was. I just had to give it a 3 instead of 5 for that. But because of the way it ended, I don't trust the author to not do that again, and I probably won't be trying the next book of hers. But if you know all this going in, I think you'll really enjoy this. I didn't get bored by it like others wrote. I really liked it and read it obsessively until I finished.

Twisty Twisty
Just when you think he’s been caught - BAM -He definitely met his match after all the killings he had done.Martin enjoyed stalking through video game chat rooms. He had to find the perfect woman to kill: an unhappy wife, a work conference to start the affair, a nice dinner and lots of drinks, dancing-yes, dancing, cash, a fake name, a perfect plan and a perfect murder each time. His childhood with a predator mother started this addictive behavior. The NEED to kill. Afterall, his mother died right before his eyes and caused so much satisfaction in his soul that he had to continue. But wait….there’s more! Can’t wait to start the 2nd book.

You’ll really like this one
The only criticism I have about this story line is the dialog of the characters in WOW. Computer lingo is sometimes hard to interpret. And too much of it can get tiresome…… but without it the story line wouldn’t make sense.A woman is killed in a hotel room and the circumstances makes no sense. She checks in, doesn’t unpack, then leaves. Comes back hours later with an unrecognizable male, and is dead within 15 minutes. He’s gone. No blood, sexual assault, signs of a fight, just dead on the floor in an odd position. Where do you even start an investigation? The only clue is her wedding ring is missing. We soon learn the killer but the police have no where to go. The hunt is on … for clues.I can’t say more, but you’re going to love it.

Disappointing Ending
This novel pushed the edge of what I am willing to read. It's highly perverted criminal left me cold, but I was interested in the former detective-now lieutenant J o solving the case. After traveling through three long murders and watching her work through the clues with her two colleagues/friends, the too quick ending was jarring highly disappointing. I wouldn't recommend it.

Entretenido

The ending came with a twist.....
Synopsis:Jeanine Hammond is murdered and posed in a ballerina position. Her wedding band is missing, but nothing else. Detective Jo Fournier is on the case and found many of the patterns ritualistic. Digging through old cold cases with her co-workers, she finds terrifying patterns indicating a serial killer is on the loose. However, no one will listen to her concerns, not her bosses or the FBI. Jo continues to investigate even though it may mean the end of her career. Will Jo uncover the truth in this case? Is there a serial killer on the loose? Will Jo track the murderer down?My Opinion:The Dancing Girls was a very engaging read. The transition between Detective Jo's point of view, the Murders point of view, and the victim's point of view were impressive. Each chapter was meticulous while describing the details of events, imagery of the scenes, and the steps Detective Jo was taking to advance in her search for the serial killer. The conclusion of The Dancing Girls held a very nice surprise and spin that most would probably not expect. I highly recommend this novel to anyone who enjoys reading crime. This book was book one of the series. I can not wait to read book two.Detective Jo Fournier is a Series of Crime Thrillers. The series is as follows:The Dancing GirlsTaken To The GraveHer Daughter's CryThe Other Mother'sHer Silent PrayerWhat They Saw

Excellent Storyline with an Unexpected Twist at the End
I have to admit I'm new to reading crime thrillers although I do watch them on TV. I guess I was always put off by the fact that I thought you wouldn't get the same level of tension without the visuals. That was definitely not the case with this book.Right from the start I was rooting for Jo to get that extra bit of information she needed & genuinely felt her frustrations with their lack of progress & the fact that her boss wasn't really backing her. But what really made it for me was the twist right at the end... So unexpected & so original!I got this for free with an offer from Amazon, but I can truthfully say I would have paid good money for it.Yes, I would heartily recommend this.

A compulsive page turner
Interesting and innovative plot. The story takes off at a fast pace and the characters are all extremely engaging. The final twist in the tale was very well written.

Not a ballet
Quite a classical thriller though the end is a little surprising.. and calls for a follow-up, though I won't read it, not my favorite kind of thriller
