Decent entry level cymbals.
I bought these for a small acoustic kit I was putting together so I bought these for the sizes. Decent entry level cymbals. The splash is very good for the price point and the 13” hats are crisp sounding. I will be honest I am not too keen on the 14” crash but I can see it being perfect for a learning drummer. Overall a good starter set if that is what you are looking for.

Just about good enough and very cheap
Great value for money, they sound just good enough that you will want to continue using them. They aren't my favourite cymbals but they are pretty good and did I mention great value for money.

Good for beginners
Overpriced compared to Thomann but I'd been let down on a private sale before Christmas. They are not too bad brass cymbals for the price and they are tuned as a set. Decent cymbals are 5x the price. Item well packed and prompt. Good seller.

Highly recommended for the naive beginner like me
I bought these as they were on a half price offer and thought I'd try them because I wasn't happy with my Planet Z Zildjians. These are far superior at this entry level and much more musical. I'm not an expert drummer so I went by name and bought the Zildjians, don't make this mistake. Unfortunately you don't get a big ride but each cymbal sounds clean, accurate and very pleasant indeed. Who'd of thought the Germans would be so musical!

Don't expect pro quality
Well, I suppose you get what you pay for, especially with cymbals - Meinl are a highly reputable company, and a lot of pro drummers are using various Meinl ranges. I think the best cymbal is the splash which has a nice tone, and a good level of sustain, the high hats I would say are just about ok if you use the edges for a much crisper sizzle..but they are quite dense and heavy for subtle stuff... the crash is very disappointing and lacks the dynamics that a good crash should have.. it just sounds a bit lame.. Not bad for beginners, but can't say I was impressed with my first Meinl purchase.. I was expecting better to be honest..

Can't go wrong with Meinl
Got this for the 13" hats. As ever, nice and crisp with a quick fade

Good stuff for a kid drum set
I bought those as an upgrade for my kid's drum set. I am not a drummer. I think it's a good choice for these money, sound is much better than the stuff you get with a "kud-drum set".

Great Starter Cymbal Set That’s Held Up Over the Years
I bought this HCS cymbal set back in 2016 and I’m honestly surprised at how well it has held up over the years. It’s been used mostly for practice and casual playing, and it’s still going strong. For a beginner set, the sound is decent and consistent enough to learn proper technique without worrying about damaging expensive cymbals. These cymbals aren’t meant to compete with high-end professional cymbals, but they do exactly what they’re supposed to do for beginners and practice sessions. Durability has been solid for the price, and I haven’t had any major issues with cracking or warping. cymbals are good in size and the appearance was very solid. it weights a bit but hey they are brass hehe. Pros: Great value starter pack for beginners Durable, still usable after years of practice Good for learning and daily practice Cons: Sound quality is basic compared to professional cymbals Not ideal for studio recording or live performances Conclusion: If you’re starting out or need a reliable set of practice cymbals, this is a solid choice. I’ve been using mine since 2016 and they’ve held up well. They’re not professional-grade, but for beginners and everyday practice, this set does the job and offers great value for the price.
