Dyson Pure Cool Activated Carbon Fan and Purifier

This is an expensive product, but the Dyson quality and the quiet and efficient way it goes about doing its work makes it a worthwhile investment. The thought, versatility, and quality that has gone into the design and the methods of control make this a class act that really works.

Didn’t review at the time but it’s still going strong. It looks lovely and omits a calming breeze. Dog loves it.

I bought this in May ahead of the hay fever season and it kept the air cleaner than I have ever known in a non-air-conditioned environment, which resulted in much better sleep and less-congested eyes and nose in the morning. In addition to scrubbing the air of pollen it has a cooling effect (i.e. cool, not cold) and a nice oscillation feature. The app is OK and quite interesting - the drop in air quality coincides with the daily peaks in pollen as it rises (at about 6am) and falls (at about 6pm). I paid top whack for this but see it is now available below £300 (unfortunately not on this web site) so will buy another.

Works with little or no noise on the lower settings. No blades make it ideal for my dogs as there is no movement and the quantity of air movement is sufficient.

This fan starts off quiet when first out of the box but after several months it gets so noisy (even when turned off and plugged in) that you cannot sleep with it in a bedroom. After complaining about our 2 noisy fans Dyson collected them took a quick look in a noisy repair shop and returned them saying there was no problem and that the noise was from the “monitoring” system. Since this they have wiped their hands clean and refused replacement or refund. We are now left with 2 redundant over-priced Dyson fans. Like others have said save your money and just buy 3 or 4 standard fans for the price.

Doesn't blast out the air as good as a normal fan unless it's at top speed but then it sounds like a jet engine, wish I hadn't bought it, I'm using my old fan instead.

In our case the activated carbon filter was critical because of lung issues. All round an excellent device.

Cet appareil est indispensable dans les conditions actuelles de pollution. On ressent vraiment une meilleure capacité respiratoire. Avec une filtration à 0,1micron, il capte et retient les particules nuisibles. L'air est plus transparent. Quand le soleil envoie ses rayons à travers les fenêtres, on ne voit plus toutes les poussières en suspension. J'habite une région très peu polluée. Malgré cela, il y a une nette différence quand l'appareil fonctionne. Le mieux, est de le laisser fonctionner en automatique. De cette façon, il surveille en permanence la qualité de l'air et réagit en conséquence. C'est un investissement intéressant pour la santé. J'émets cependant une très grande critique au niveau de la Wifi incorporée dans ce dispositif. D'une part, vous avez un réel bénéfice pour la santé et d'autre part, vous avez une nuisance certaine engendrée par ce Wifi. C'est tout à fait stupide et inutile. Heureusement qu'on peut facilement la déconnecter. Je ne comprend pas pourquoi une marque comme Dyson se croit obligée de suivre la mode des objets connectés pour ce type appareil.

Partiamo da una considerazione iniziale: oltre ad essere un oggetto utilissimo (purifica e rinfresca l'aria) è un'oggetto decisamente di design, adatto a tutti gli stili di arredamento. La Dyson ha un'ottima fama, che posso solo che confermare. Avevo comprato un Dyson Pure Cool Link già un anno e mezzo fa, questo è il secondo, perchè così ne ho messo uno in salotto e uno in camera da letto. Nella scatola troviamo: La tower Dyson, alta circa 1 metro, con il filtro HEPA già inserito e il telecomando, con pile già inserite. Non vi serve nient'altro. Una volta incastrata la base al ventilatore (è un semplice incastro, niente cacciaviti o altro) il purificatore è pronto all'uso. Dal telecomando possiamo comandare l'intensità di ventilazione (al massimo fa un bel fresco), la modalità notte (in cui va in automatico a velocità 4, silenziosissima, e spegne la piccola lucina, per non disturbare il sonno), il timer di spegnimento, modalità fissa o rotazione e la modalità automatico: a seconda dell'inquinamento presente nell'aria (polvere, puzza, PM10 etc.) il dyson aumenta o diminuisce la velocità fino a quando riporta la qualità dell'aria a un buon livello. Le velocità di ventilazione sono 10. Fino al livello 4 è praticamente non udibile, dal 5 in poi si inizia a sentire un fruscio, ma anche a livello 10 è estremamente silenzioso rispetto a un ventilatore normale. Forse dormirci lasciandolo a livello 10 potrebbe disturba, ma secondo me è fattibile. Dall'applicazione potete comandarlo esattamente come con il telecomando e in più potete vedere tutte le statistiche della qualità dell'aria, temperatura e umidità di tutti i giorni in cui resta collegato alla corrente. Come vedere dalle foto che ho messo l'inquinamento aumenta al mattino quando apro la finestra (e la temperatura scende, siamo in inverno), ma poi si stabilizza sul verde quando il dyson entra in funzione. L'anno scorso il primo dyson mi ha dato un problema: il sensore non registrava più la qualità dell'aria. Ho contattato l'assistenza dyson che mi ha ritirato a casa il dyson difettoso e me ne ha dato subito uno nuovo. Quindi assistenza top (posto che è stato un problema sicuramente raro, che non si è più ripresentato). Costa tanto, ma se lo trovate a 300€, come è successo a me, è un acquisto assolutamente consigliato, sia per la qualità del prodotto, sia per la bella figura che fa in ogni ambiente della casa.

Der Aufbau des Luftreinigers war schnell erledigt. Man musste einfach nur das Ober- mit dem Unterteil zusammen stecken und schon stand er einsatzbereit da. Mit dem Android bzw. iOS Gerät die Dyson Link-App herunterladen und alles lässt sich wunderbar per App steuern. Das dachte ich aber auch nur!!! Es kam leider ganz anders. Ich muss gestehen, als ich vorab die Bewertungen der anderen Benutzer gelesen habe, dass ich mich fragte wie „dumm“ die alle sind, dass sie es nicht auf die Reihe bekamen das Gerät direkt mit dem Internet zu verbinden. Sorry an alle!!! Ich weiß bis heute nicht, warum ich es in 3 Tagen nicht geschafft habe das Teil mit der App zu koppeln. Also, die Internetverbindung stand eigentlich, nur die Weiterverbindung zu Dyson klappte nicht. Es kam ständig „Verbindung fehlgeschlagen“. Es war zum Haare raufen. Also rief ich am zweiten Tag den Support an. Nach einer gefühlten halben Stunde meldete sich endlich ein netter Herr am anderen Ende der Leitung und sagte mir, dass er leider überhaupt keine Ahnung vom Einrichten des Gerätes hätte und ich ihm eine Mail mit Seriennummer und anderen Daten schicken sollte. Er würde diese Mail dann freundlicher Weise an die entsprechenden Leute mit Ahnung weiterleiten. Ich fand es zwar ziemlich ätzend jetzt wieder einen Tag länger warten zu müssen, aber ich brauchte ja nur noch bis morgen warten und dann könnte ich voll durchstarten. Der Tag kam und ging, der nächste kam und ging…! Naja nachdem ich nochmal drei Tage gewartet hatte, machte ich mich selbst nochmal ans Werk. Ihr werdet es nicht glauben, aber beim vierten Mal hat sich die App endlich mit Dyson verbunden und ich konnte jetzt endlich die App unter die Lupe nehmen. Jetzt wollt Ihr bestimmt auch noch wissen, wie es angestellt habe. Ich weiß es nicht!!! Es hat einfach funktioniert. Ich habe nichts anders gemacht wie vorher. Ach ja, vom Support habe ich bis heute keine Antwort erhalten. Danke schöööööön Herr …!!! Nach all dem Frust konnte ich jetzt verschiedene Sachen mit der App einstellen und bin vom Ergebnis der Luftreinigung mehr als zufrieden. Es werden auch sämtliche Gerüche aus der Luft gefiltert, so dass man meint die Luft sei gewaschen. Gleichzeitig kann man das Gerät auch noch als Ventilator nutzen, da je nach Einstellung (Luftstromstärke) der Luftstrom erhöht wird. Diese Ventilator Funktion für den Sommer ist natürlich ein zusätzlicher Pluspunkt. Die Raumtemperatur ist durch die sehr gute Kühlleistung des Cool Link hervorragend. In der App gibt es einen Nachtmodus der das LED Licht dimmt und der Tower läuft auf einer niedrigen Stärke und ist somit sehr leise. Der Automatikmodus analysiert die Luftqualität und der Cool Link stellt die passende Reinigungsstufe dazu ein. Je nachdem wie empfindlich man auf Partikel und Schadstoffe reagiert, kann man den entsprechenden Zielwert für die Luftqualität per App vorher festlegen. All das klappt wunderbar und wenn die Luft sauber ist schaltet sich das Gerät ab. Hier noch ein letztes Fazit: Das Gerät funktioniert super! Allergietabletten- und Nasensprayverbrauch werden sehr überschaubar. Auch Asthmatiker können endlich wieder aufatmen und besser schlafen. Ich sag mal, wenn ich den Support nicht noch einmal benötige, ist dies ein wirklich tolles Produkt.

Ich hatte zuerst den "kleineren" Tisch-Luftreiniger von Dyson bestellt(Pure Cool Link Desk) und kann daher beide vergleichen. Dieses Gerät hier hat einen eben so hohen Standfuß wie der "kleine" aber ist im Durchmesser deutlich schmaler. Zudem ist dieses Gerät deutlich leiser. Allgemein siehen beide Luftreiniger zwar gut aus, fühlen sich aber nicht so hochwertig an wie man bei dem Preis und den Bildern denkt: Alles ist aus leichtem Plastik, kein Edelstahl wie man vermuten möchte. Die Einrichtung über die App(optional, geht auch nur mit Fernbedienung) ging schnell und einfach. Er legte sofort auf Stufe 4 und Luftqualität "Mittel" los. Nach einer Minute war die Luftqualität dann schon "Gut" ... Dass er die ganze Luft in meinem Schlafzimmer in der Zeit ausgetauscht hat glaube ich nicht. Das kam mir eher Fake vor und allgemein war ich etwas skeptisch ob dieses Gerät wirklich funktioniert doch das klappt wirklich gut. Meist springt das Gerät kurzzeitig auf Stufe 3 oder 4. Beispielsweise wenn ich Staubsauge springt er sofort von "aus" auf Stufe 4. Und bei nur wenigen Zügen an der E-Zigarette 2-3m entfernt sprang er sofort auf Stufe 10 und zeigte in der App eine Luftqualität von "Sehr schlecht" an. Auf 10 bläst er aber volle Kanne und daher wäre der Automatik-Modus für E-Zigaretten-Nutzer weniger geeignet. Großer Minuspunkt: Das Gerät macht IMMER Geräusche also auch im Nachtmodus und sogar WENN ES AUS IST! Das Geräusch auf Stufe 1 bzw. im Nachtmodus ist vergleichbar mit einem Computer(-Lüfter) der dauerhaft läuft. Das ist schon etwas nervig jedoch ist dieses Gerät, im Gegensatz zur "Desk" Variante von Dyson, kaum zu hören selbst auf Stufe 1! Und auch auf Stufe 3-4 ist er noch angenehm leise, kaum zu hören. In der App kann man wunderschön einen Zeitplan einstellen wann es auf Nachtmodus schalten soll, aber ausschalten kann man ihn im Zeitplan nicht. Und selbst dann würde er ja immer noch Geräusche machen, vermutlich um Daten für die App zu sammeln. Aus meiner Sicht wurde hier bei Dyson nicht zu Ende gedacht. Allerdings ist das Gerät auch so leise dass es mich im Schlafzimmer nicht stört. Allgemein bin ich mit dem Produkt sehr zufrieden: Schick, schmal und leise. So soll es sein! Einen halben Stern Abzug wegen dem hohen Preis und dem Strom-Stecker welcher viel zu lang ist.
