Bought this one as a replacement for the Staedtler one. Staedtler one seemed premium but doesn’t work for every clutch pencil !!! This one is perfect! Designed for all types of clutch pencil and you can get a perfectly sharp point. Absolutely perfect !!

This sharpens standard and wide shaft mechanical pencils
Two sharpeners in one.Like all sharpeners brings all the artists mechanical pencils to a sharp and delicate point fine for HB or 9H but less so for 4B or colours.The cover allows the grinding to be retained for finger applications when grading colours or black shading.A worthwhile addition to the artists box.

Good sharpner for clutch pencils
I use Faber -Castell 9400 series clutch pencils. This sharpner is a convenient way to point the leads. I am happy with its operation. Those that have noted the sharpness does not last - you can unscrew the blades and sharpen them old-school with a sharpening stone as you would a blunt knife. However, I have not suffered this issue as yet.
