One to avoid!
First a caveat - I bought this as a lifting rope for the odd item primarily but as a tow rope as well.In the past I have had a few of this type of tow rope and they have all been fine. This one definitely isn't!I purchased the rope and the first use I had for it was to move a car about 100m and it managed it without an issue. I have subsequently used it to lift a chicken coop that I built. This weighed about 100kg and should have been well within the ropes capacity as I would expect a 4000kg capacity tow rope to pull at least 1000kg force. The rope let go at one end and on closer examination the end was not interwoven but just turned back on itself and the end had been tucked inside the rope. This meant that the rope had a seriously reduced load capacity from the stated 4000kg and I was grateful that 1) no one was under the coop when it hit the ground and 2) I was not towing a car up a hill where it most certainly would have failed. I have subsequently used 2 jubilee clips on each end to compress the junction and the rope is ok but I know I can't trust it to tow with.Good points are the rope itself is strong as are the hooks but it is dangerous to use for towing so avoid

Good
Its a tow rope and its low cost. The hooks on either end are too small to fit over the tow ring of my Nissan X-Trail but that's probably thicker than most cars' tow rings/hooks. I simply attached a D ring to the X-Trail's tow ring as an intermediary. I haven't had to use the rope yet but if its as strong as it says it is, it'll be very useful for pulling stranded cars out of ditches with my Nissan X-Trail, which incidentally grips the road fantastically well in the recent deep snow. I was able to take full loads of hospital staff to and from work and even a patient home up steep hills, where cars and taxis couldn't go. I am well impressed with the X-Trail if you were thinking of buying one!

Tow Rope
This is much bigger than the image shows. I was looking for a smaller replacement rope in the boot. I'm sure this will do the job when needed, but a bit too bulky
